I had a terrible experience. They took us down steep dangerous stairs down a cliff that we weren't told about and it had rained so it was slippery and they were made of stone. There are no railings or safety measures like some rafting places have. I ended up slipping on a very slippery step halfway down the climb and falling 20 feet backwards off the cliff, i almost fell an additional 50 feet if i didnt grab a tree branch in time, which ripped my shoulder out of its socket. I sustained multiple injuries, the people who came to rescue me were not properly trained for it and further worsened any spinal injury I had. Two of the "rescuers" almost slipped on the stairs and almost dropped me while I was on the rescue board. I was transported to a hospital nearby that did not know what they were doing, did not take proper procedure for cranial and spinal injury, and did not have modern machinery to deduce how severe the injuries were. I couldnt even walk or sit up, i thought i lost my ability to but it turns out my spine was just secerly inflammed from the fall. Also they took my shoes while I was being transported and said I had to pay for them back the next day if I wanted them, what a scam. Also their insurance only covers like $600 USD and only covers like scrapes and broken bones. This experience ruined my trip, I had to cancel any other activities, fly home in excruciating pain, and now I'm all the hospital in America getting checked out. I have scrapes and bruises all over my body, my one ankle I can't walk on, the other is so swollen it hurts to put weight on, my right shoulder is torn completely, I have a huge bump on my head and have dizziness and confusion sometimes even though my concussion is gone, my ears are torn up from cuts, I can barely move my back and neck bc of how badly they were injured. This will cost me thousands of dollars just to treat, it was such a traumatic experience and they knew that those stairs were dangerous but took people down it anyway without warning. I believe I only survived the fall bc I had a helmet and life jacket on to cushion some of the fall and that I stopped myself from falling the additional 50ft, otherwise I would be dead and not writing this. This company is negligent and only cares...

Phenomenal, we took the same tour in '18 and it is 100000% better today. The tour is all inclusive if you request it.. pick and drop off in a private car, but the actual rafting is out of control. Just fun, exciting and entertaining. You will start at the "HQ" where everything happens... Fitting of life jackets and helmets, also you can store your stuff there with provided lockers, the we all pile in a little truck with bench seats that run along the bed... A quick 10 minute drive to a spot along side of the road, we all pile out and start walking down a path... It's kinda rural and then we walk down a hill... THIS IS WHERE THINGS MIGHT GET ROUGH FOR PEOPLE.. The walk down is arduous, I won't mince words.. it's stairs... Concrete stairs that head down...and you're wearing a life jacket and holding an Ore with a helmet on.. you will sweat and it will be a tough go.. BUT....... at the bottom is a solid amazing inflatable raft in that rushing cool water... You all pile in according to the guide and a quick safety briefing... And your off.... All that cool water splashing all over, great rapids, And a guide with a personality... The trip lasts a little under 2 hours with a stop on a sandbar where you can get drinks or a snack .. the float is breath taking, so much to see, rapids, floating under water falls, competition between other rafts ... So much fun.. the last splash is wonderful.... You head through the spillway of an old dam....then.... Ok... You went down the hill..... NOW you have to go back up.... It's rough, but concrete stairs again.. and a lot of them, totally worth it though.. at the top the little truck is there to pile in the back and head 5 minutes back to the starting spot. There are shower stalls with fresh cool water.. towels and an included buffet style lunch, noodles fried rice, fried fish and corn with water.. you can buy a soda or beer if you want, then they will shoot you back to your pickup location... DO KOT TAKE ANY ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT it will get ruined... A GoPro or insta360 is ok.... DO THIS RAFTING ....

Must visit adventure spot if u are in Ubud and also if u plan to visit bali have this in mind..What a terrific adventurous trip..It's still in my eyes..we went to graha as it had good rating in google..we got tickets for 8000 INR (2ppl) bargain and get it.they said food was free and served in the afternoon. We were prepared for the ride and u must say trekking down to the river is a very tedious job for ppl older then 50 may be ,the path is very steep and the climb nearly will drench u out.Put some good shoes so that the trekking would be easier.Get some water and may be snacks if u don't want to buy there .things down are costly but not a big deal. The ride u got to be kidding me,We were assigned with Rambo a good team raftor and the leader of our Team..Such a nice man to go with ..Breath taking scenery and some spots is chill out in the middle of the ayung river and have snacks they would stop in small water fall and u can take photos ..by the way there will be video graphers taking images and videos u can get it after the ride is over.Superb experience for couples.Water is not that deep u can enjoy after 2-3 hits and not be afraid .We finished and were dropped in the bottom of the river but climbing up after this ride makes us sweat and tired to the maximum..be prepared if u have some ppl older and children the climbup is difficult .. after a fun-filled ride we were taken by the van and were dropped in the same place and had good unlimited food.Over all i would say...

I enjoyed it! I paid 750k and the price on the sign said 1.25M. It was definitely worth 75k, and that included an Indonesian lunch which was nice and didn't make us sick. 2 hours of rafting was fun, the jungle was beautiful and there were lots of waterfalls. We banged into some other boats on our way down the river as sometimes boats get stuck on a rock which was funny! Our guide Leo was a quirky character, a bit nuts.... but knowledgeable about the culture and the river, taught us Balinese words we could yell during the float, and he was laughing and chatty all the way! The stairs down took a good 20 minutes but were fine, I didn't mind it. All part of the experience and how else do you get down a gorge right?? The stairs up were less than down but still definitely a workout! My fake Birkenstocks i bought the day before snapped, so i walked up barefoot, would advise some form of footwear. I never felt unsafe at all though. I dropped a star as I didnt like the feeling of being pressured to buy overpriced Bintang on the stop halfway down, and felt pressured by the woman selling to buy for the guide (i didnt buy anything but seemed it was expected that tourists should buy) . And also the shower facilities were dirty and cold and difficult to get changed in. I would probably haggle more on price too as it seems people pay all sorts of different amounts. But overall as an experience, I'd recommend Graha for sure!

Book direct. Bring some sturdy strap-on slippers and a change of clothes - ,there are many reasons for this that will become apparent later in this review. The hike down being the biggest single factor for the slippers with straps. The hike down although beautiful through the rice paddies then descending through the jungle canopy into the river bottom might be a bit arduous for some. The hike up although not as long is a set of 400 steep stairs. No question about the beauty and the fun of the actual river ride as well the interaction with other rafting companies good nature fun with/and water splashing as you pass each other. Staff is phenomenal. Now for the reason of change of clothes. Afterwards a nice sun warmed towels provided along with nice clean showers -cold water only. However, the showers are kind of required as the river is not necessarily something you want to carry with you afterwards.... Not to mention you will get sweaty and dirty! Then the unexpectedly delicious and filling lunch served afterwards just tops it off like cherry on a cake. last if you're interested in the pictures and videos that they take along the way and offer to sell you bring your own USB for ease of transfer as my phone wouldn't play the videos. All in all a guaranteed good time!

Really enjoyable day rafting. After a quick negotiation on the price, we were given safety equipment and jumped on an open top van. A quick ride. Then we walked through rice fields, down some steep steps to the river. Me, my wife and 2 kids (11 & 8) managed this easily but if you’re not very fit you may struggle :) We were able to buy a waterproof phone cover, 60,000 and put belongings in the guides waterproof bag. After some safety instructions we were off. Beautiful scenery, with some fun splashing along the way. We stopped at a waterfall and on the river bank for some drinks. We paid 30,000 per drink, others ate pot noodles. I had no money on me, but no worries, I could pay after. After sliding down a concrete slide our adventure on the water came to an end… 1.5hrs The next adventure was the concrete steps back up to the road for pickup. We managed this fine with no stopping but this was a challenge for some, but the guides let people rest and were very patient. On arrival back at base we showered and then had a lovely traditional lunch. We could then purchase some photos and have them transferred onto our phones. We paid 15,000 for these. Many people have left reviews complaining about the steps up and down. If you are reasonably fit you will have no problems.
