A Truly Authentic Ubud Experience with the Kindest Staff

Staying at Pratiwi Villas Ubud was such a memorable part of our Bali trip. The absolute highlight was the incredibly kind and accommodating staff who went out of their way to make our stay feel special. Though we initially booked the concrete villa, they graciously offered us the chance to also experience the beautiful wooden Joglo villa—a gesture that truly made us feel welcomed and valued.

Both villas offered a distinct charm that captured the essence of Ubud. There's an undeniable authenticity to the surroundings that immediately transports you to a more peaceful, grounded way of living—perfect for those seeking a true Balinese retreat. The traditional architecture, open-air designs, and natural ambiance really let you slow down and soak in the serenity of the area.

One standout feature is the pool—surprisingly large for a private single-room villa. At approximately 13 by 21 feet, it’s more spacious than what most similar accommodations offer, making it perfect for a refreshing morning dip or lounging by the water in the afternoon. Breakfast can be conveniently ordered through reception, and each villa comes equipped with a kitchen, including a fridge and a stove burner capable of whipping up a feast if you're in the mood to cook.

While the villas are simple and may not aim for modern luxury, they are thoughtfully equipped with essentials like air conditioning and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The charm lies in their understated elegance and traditional feel—an ideal match for Ubud's tranquil, soulful atmosphere.

The Best Place for a Couple's Getaway in Bali

We had a fantastic 8-night stay at Pratiwi Ubud Villa. Having a completely private villa with its own pool was a dream. The place was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and the AC and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The best part was the breakfast being cooked for us fresh in our villa's kitchen every morning! what a beautiful place to stay in ubud. the owner, Arya was very responsive and helpful. the staff were super nice and attentive to care. the only thing that could make it better was if there was a place to hang wet towels--which i'm sure i could have requested. it's about a 10-15 minute walk to your closest mini mart and about an hour walk to the strip/shops/temple--however transportation via car or motorcycle is very accessible. love that they provided a five gallon jug for refill. overall, a great accommodation and definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay at a...
