A magnificent place with direct jungle and pool view, but managed very poorly âčïž the place is designed very well with love to detail, but needs maintenance. For example, the door to our bungalow closed only with the help of four hands and even then didnât close properly. The floor is damaged. The pool is pretty dirty. The breakfast ist extremely poor for a hotel in this price range. You can only pay cash (what can be difficult in this price range). The curtains are dirty and damaged. There are no switches for the lamps next to the bed anymore. The mosquito net is damaged. The bathroom was not clean at particular places. There are too few stones in the shower (sounds funny but see the picture and you will understand) so it hurts to stand in the shower.
We stayed five nights here. Often there was no contact person around or no contact person that could speak English. On our check-in we had to wait 20 minutes in the rain until we could go to our bungalow. The check-out was unfriendly. The last day we had to spend without the water, tee or coffee that was usually included in the room the days before.
In addition an important notice: You canât reach the place by car! For Americans and Europeans this is very unusual and very important to know, but isnât communicated by the hotel. You have to walk about ten minutes to the street.
Summary: A very lovely place on earth that is managed very poorly. I guess somebody build his dream hotel and sold it after a few years to somebody that donât care about it and itâs guests. I canât understand why this lovely place is...
Read moreAbsolutely filthy place, rat poo on the light switch, floor and shower handle, mosquito nets around the bed full of holes and stains, fridge was caked in dirt, under the beds were thick of dirt with used cotton buds, water bottles and toilet roll tubes under them ||- The bathroom was absolutely pouring with rain due to a leak above the shower and we didn't want to take a shower with cold dirty water dripping on us, it also dripped on us whilst we used the toilet. We reported the problem at 9:30am, waited in all day because we kept being told a friend was coming to fix it in 'after breakfast', 'in 30 minutes', 'in 15 minutes' but it was actually 4pm before someone came. Only after we complained to booking.com did they offer to move us but the only room available was not suitable. They refused to offer any discount on our stay despite not being able to use the shower, wasting our entire day waiting for them, and the inconvenience of then having to book another hotel and travel there ||- Didn't answer their phone when we first arrived leaving us stood in the rain in the dark waiting to be picked up. When they eventually answered and came for us we had to get on the back of a scooter with no helmet, cars can't get near the property ||- Staff we dealt with spoke very little English ||- The door was very hard to lock and even when locked there were large gaps either side and the bottom hinge on one door wasn't attached, it would be very easy to break in and for animals to get in ||- Breakfast very basic, reusable straws clearly hadn't been cleaned...
Read moreThese villas are located in a wonderful place with âjungle viewsâ. The pool looks to the jungle and is very calming. They have services as the floating breakfast which we couldnât book because it was raining. Itâs also very close to restaurants. To sleep with the sound of nature was very cool indeed you can hear everything from your room, so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs! There are some points that they could put more effort though. When we got to our room the sheets were not fresh, the bed was full of hair and crumbs and it smelled pretty bad. I told the lady in charge and they gave me the bottom sheet to change so I had to use the clean towel as pillowcase. Maybe they thought that as we were staying just one night it was not going to be necessary a change of sheets but it is the minimum thing you can do between guests. The breakfast was included but after all the villas and hotels weâve been it was a bit disappointing. It includes coffee (was instant coffee, NescafĂ©) omelet or scrambled eggs, toast and fruit plate. The way in to the villa is pretty complicated you only can access with a motorbike if you ask the staff they can go and...
