The food here is absolutely splendid, came hers twice in 4 days and may come for a 3rd time today. We had the nasi goreng with chicken and cap cay with chicken and rice the first time. The nasi goreng was flavourful and the cap cay felt like it had a bit of a twist to it. Second time we had red chicken curry with rice which was absolutely delightful but relatively spicy (no one else i came with could handle is except me but they also have a relatively low spice tolerance). The pad thai was also wonderful with a hint of sweetness. It looks like a small family run restaurant so all the food is made with genuine care and attention. However because it is family run service is incredibly slow and understandably so as its one or two people cooking for the entire restraunt (we waited an hour the first time) - but if you have time to wait this is a must try. There are plenty of vegetarian options available.

A real hole in the wall type of establishment, off the beaten path that serves authentic Balinese food with soul. Worth the hour wait it took for the meal to arrive. Totally understandable considering the owner was run off her feet along with the one other cook in the kitchen. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, as well as the spring rolls, which were the best I've had in years. A true home cooked Balinese meal! Consider this 'slow food' with a lot of soul. Caveat, the owner isn't slow, it's the fact they're so many people wanting to eat there and they prepare each meal at a time! Genuinely don't eat here if you're hungry at the time or have a short attention span.

Not the most fancy place but a traditional warung with a local indonesian lady doing her cooking magic. Do not expect fancy dishes but this is home cooking as it is supposed to be. Takes her some time but a guarantee its freshly prepared and love the spices and rich taste. I had the Gado Gado salad as a starter with delicious peanut sauce. Was probably meant as a main dish as I was already full after :-). Probably misguided by the low price :-). After had the prawn curry which was great in taste and featured a lot of shrimps compared to this 2.5 shrimp in some touristic places. The police came by regulary but think it was her hisband helping out a bit :-).
