Paid AUD20pp via Klook no transfers as I had a driver. Location is on the main road. Addtional local food options and convenience store across the road. Reception area dated and old. showers facilities are extremely dated and in need of a deep clean. You pit stop half way which I will explain later. These are the only negatives I had.
Once you arrive there is lockers to put your items in, your guide will also take a dry bag if you need to take valuables with you. They then drive you few minutes up the road to the starting point. You will need to walk down uneven steps to the river which is approx 300 steps. This is where you begin your white water rafting experience. Our guide was interactive, funny and knowledgeable of the river area surroundings. Beginners level for white water rafting and fun activity for the kids to do! Our youngest was 10 and she loved it! We stopped half way where you can purchase snacks and drinks which is extremely expensive (coconut water was RP50,000, a small packet of chips RP30,000, Small bottle of Bingtang RP50,000) So bring water and or snacks with you. The ladies tell you to buy the guides a beverage. You can either pay cash for your beverages there or once you get back. Just before you arrive at the ending point staff will take photos of you which you can purchase all the photos for RP200,000 (approx 35 photos) which will be emailed to you. Once you pass this point the guide will let you float down the river for abit which I highly recommend you do. You will need to take your paddles back up with you which is approx 300 steps (I think this is normal for all rafting in Ubud) Towels are available for you to use for free. Lunch is a buffet which consised of plain rice, noodles, marinade tiny chicken pieces, soup and watermelon. Sealed cup water free also. The drinks at the restaurant are normal prices.
For the price I paid would I recommend it, yeah I would as the overall...
Read moreMan, what an experience! I can't recommend it enough.
We paid around 500k IDR for 2 people (haggle and you can get that price!).
They take you with a car first up the hill. There are a lot of steps you need to take to get down to the lake. Be warned, these steps are very big and can be difficult for those with leg issues. I'm fairly active and even I struggled. There are A LOT of steps.
Definitely recommend wearing swimming shoes or something. You can take sandals and they tie it to the raft when you are down there.
The rafting experience is amazing. The instructors on your boat make the trip so much more fun. Either making jokes, wetting other boats or just general playing around.
They take you to a water fall where you can get out and take nice pictures under the water. You can take your phone with you as the instructor has a water proof bag! A mistake I made.
My wife and I absolutely loved the experience. We've done rafting in Thailand before but this was hands down a way better experience.
The pictures at the end are also reasonable price. We got the guy down to 150k IDR for digital pictures.
Definitely worth doing...
Read moreWhen we arrived it was booked out so we had to come back in an hour. When we came back we were made to wait an extra half n hour. I don’t know if it was for instructors or customers but no communication from staff to let us know what was happening, very annoying. You have to walk down bulk amount of stairs not for elderly or unfit people. By the time we got to the water it had all be an hour since we left. Our tour guide had a smoke and a chat before blowing up the raft. Other company’s seemed more organised and ready to go. You stop half way for refreshments half way and pay back at the place. Cool idea. The guide we had was awesome and gave us the extreme experience. I would recommend people do this activity. We didn’t eat the lunch provided was rice, noodle and chicken. My 3 star is because the lack of communication and organisations...
