We are coming to an end of our 7-night stay and this was a very unique experience and we are grateful to have experienced this on our honeymoon! From the moment you enter the hotel, you are greeted as if you just came back to your beautiful, peaceful, warm and welcoming family home. Everyone is always smiling, always kind, and consistently aiming to anticipate your needs. We have stayed in multiple amazing hotels, but Amandari is just one of a kind - the smooth blend of luxury, tradition and genuine hospitality is unmatched. Also, overall the guests here share the appreciation for the peaceful environment so we haven’t had any issues with disturbances. The food is great and there are plenty of activities you can book with the hotel. We did the culture tour, arts & crafts tour and painting class - we truly enjoyed everything! Bapak Ngilis our driver (who has been with Amandari since its beginning) was an outstanding tour guide, and Bapak Dewi our painting instructor is hugely talented! We always felt looked after. It was always a pleasure talking to Bapak Eddy and Michel. They are the most welcoming hosts! We also enjoyed an incredible couple’s spa treatment - we can only recommend! If you are after a peaceful environment with kind faces and good food, you should definitely come to Amandari. The afternoon tea was always delicious too. One thing we also appreciated a lot are the short “nightly tiger tales” and tokens as part of the turnaround service; some of the tokens were made by a local gifted artist (disabled by polio and orphaned as a young child) who Amandari proudly supports. These thoughtful gestures make Amandari truly special. We were also lucky to have participated in Amandari’s 35. Anniversary celebrations where we found out that most of their team is part of the local community which forms the unique atmosphere and culture. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate another special occasion at this very...
Read moreAs part of the Discover Bali package, we spent two nights at Amankila by the ocean and two nights in the Ubud jungle at Amandari—and I can honestly say Amandari is among the most extraordinary places me and my husband have ever stayed. The topography, the lush jungle, and the endless shades of green felt almost surreal, as if we were inside a video game landscape.
Our suite was stunning and unique—a two-story design with the bedroom upstairs overlooking the jungle, and a spacious living room downstairs opening onto a terrace with a private pool, cabana, and breathtaking views of the valley.
Dining at the property was excellent. We enjoyed dishes like Wagyu beef, but what really stood out was the traditional Indonesian Mi Goreng—simple yet so delicious. The wine list was also impressive, including natural wines.
The complimentary yoga class led by a local instructor was peaceful and grounding. The spa was extraordinary, offering ritualistic massages and blessings that felt deeply spiritual and unforgettable, we even had a Balinese birthday celebration at the end of the treatment.
One of the highlights was the rice terrace trekking excursion. My guide, a local Amandari team member, was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions with passion and insight. It gave me such a meaningful connection to the landscape and culture.
The boutique shop was also a gem, filled with authentic and beautifully curated local souvenirs.
Overall, Amandari embodies spirituality, authenticity, and luxury in the most unique way. It is not only one of the best Aman properties but also, without a doubt, one of the best properties...
Read morePeace. That is the first thing you will feel when you went inside the Peaceful Soul which literally translates the name Amandari. We had a van transfer from Amankila to Amandari courtesy of them and it is a village within a village. We welcomed by Bapak Arkan, Front Office Manager with the team and we are assisted by Ibu Bianca, our Villa host. She explained in details everything in our villa and that we have a gift upon arrival which is the sarong. The room is huge, fronting the river and ricefields. We enjoyed their afternoon tea with hot ginger drink. The restaurant, which is the only outlet inside that offers international cuisine and I would like to highlight the falaffel. It is so big that it is good for 2 servings! Also their wagyu pasta! And the name that marks in the resort is Satya, from the transportation/concierge team. He is so pleasing, very helpful and he showcase his work well. We have been assisted multiple times and mostly on our departure, which leaves us speechless to let him accommodate us to look for a hotel which is handicapped friendly. You made our stay remarkable. You are a gem Satya. GM Michel also bid us farewell when we leave and all of the team did a great job. They even gave us pastries upon departure. We met couple of F&B staff but forgot their names. If you are looking for a disconnected place but at the same time, 3 minutes away from the Ubud downtown, you have to check this out. Terimah Kasih for the unforgettable experience...
