Planet Entertainment Centre Athlone — Attraction in County Westmeath

Just had a birthday party there today for my son who turned 8. We had booked the soft play, 9D cinema and Lazer Tag. When we arrived we were met an absolutely lovely lady named Tracey who honestly could not do enough for us! She took the kids order swiftly and seen them to their play area. Tracey checked in with us regularly and offered teas/coffees etc. When it was time for 9D cinema and Lazer Tag, she explained thoroughly all that was going to happen and was so reassuring to the children who had any questions. My son (the birthday boy) didnt hear the instructions for lazer tag the 1st Time round and panicked because he thought they were gonna start and he didn't know the rules and started to get upset. Tracey actually got down to eye level with him 1 to 1 and calmly explained to him what he needed to do! She was just simply amazing and a natural with the kids. The venue itself is fantastic and caters for all ages and interests! It was clean! Well laid out and overall just a nice place to be! The food was actually amazing! Yesterday, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting Planet Athlone, a top-notch bowling centre that exceeded all our expectations. Went bowling on Mothers Day with my mam and 2 brothers. From the beginning there was an issue with getting it started, the worker had to go in with the pins and eventually after about a 15 minute delay we began. There was a family that came beside us after 5 minutes, the parents walked away from the 7/8 ish kids, some kids probably as young as 4/5. They weren’t being supervised by their parents, nor by the staff. They were going onto the lane itself past the line, they were taking all of the light bowling balls leaving us with all the heavy ones, very unfair on my 2 younger brothers, which really took away from the experience having to use the heavier bowling balls that myself and my mother could barely use, never mind a 9 and 11 year old.
