כנסיית פטרוס הקדוש ,יש בישראל מספר כנסיות על שמו של פטרוס שהוא אחד מ12 השליחים של ישו. הכנסייה הרוסית באבו כביר נקראת על שמו כנסיית פטרוס הקדוש שבטבריה. וכמובן כנסיייה זו ביפו. מיהו פטרוס הקדוש - אחד מ 12 השליחים של ישו והאפיפיור הראשון ( קתולי ) פטרוס היה במקור דייג יהודי מטבריה בשם שמעון בר יונה ,שהמיר את דתו לנצרות. שתי אגדות מאוד מרכזיות בברית החדשה התרחשו ביפו , והפכו את עיר הנמל לקדושה לנצרות. על פי הסיפור ,אחת מנשות הקהילה הנוצרית טאביתה ( צביה בשמה היהודי ) חלתה ונפטרה . אנשי הקהילה ביפו שמעו שפטרוס מבקר בלוד והזעיקו אותו לעזרה. כשהגיע פטרוס ליפו הוא בחר להשתכן בביתו של בן המעמד הנמוך ,שמעון הבורסקאי ( מעבד העורות ). הוא ביקש שיביאו את גופתה של טאביתה ,אז כרע על ברכיו והתפלל . טאביתה התעוררה חזרה לחיים בזכות תפילותו. ( יש ביפו בית ספר על שמה ברחוב יפת 21 . לימים שנפטרה נקברה במתחם הכנסייה הרוסית באבו כביר ) הנס השני והמשמעותי יותר נקרא "נס החלום" כנראה האירוע שסלל את הפיכת הנצרות לדת נפרדת (יש האומרים שהנצרות יכלה להיות זרם ביהדות ). סיפור הנס פטרוס עלה לגג ביתו של שמעון הבורסקאי כדי להתפלל, ונרדם. בחלומו הופיע מלאך וציווה אותו לאכול מ " כל בהמות הארץ והחיה והרמש ועוץ השמים". פטרוס סירב וטען כי מעולם לא אכל " פיגול וטמא", אז ענה לו המלאך כי "את אשר טיהר האלוהים אתה אל תטמאנו". חלום זה היווה פתח לפעילות מיסיונרית של הפצת הנצרות והפך את פטרוס לאפיפיור הראשון. (אחת הסיבות שהמזבח פונה מערבה ,יש רק עוד כנסייה אחת נוספת שהמזבח פונה מערבה בכל שאר הכנסיות המזבח תמיד מזרחה לכיוון ירושלים) ביתו של שמעון הבוסקאי ממוקם כ 100 מטר מהכנסיה ובסוך אליו הוקמה במאה ה 4 כנסייה ביזנטית . הכנסייה הביזנטית נקראה גם " כנסיית פטרוס הקדוש" ,שנהרסה על ידי המוסלמית במאה ה 7 לספירה ונבנה במקומה מסגד. בשל המחלוקות בין המוסלמים לנוצרים הבית עומד היום נעול ,מעל ביתו של שמעון הבורסקאי לצד המגדלור ( ניתן לראות את צריח הכנסיה/מסגד בצבע חום לצד המגלור הצבוע באדום לבן). הביקור בכנסיה מרשים וניתן לראות מנורת 8 קנים לצד המזבח , מאחורי המזבח פרוש הים התיכון במלוא הדרו. כמי שמפעיל יאכטה העורכת סיורים מנמל יפו ,אני נפעם לראות כל יום מחדש את קו הרקיע הייחודי של יפו העתיקה ומעל הכל את הכנסייה המרשימה. גבעת כורכר משובצת בתי אבן הייחודיים ,אשר מגלמת בתוכה אלפי שנים של היסטוריה אנושית. מסגדים לצד כנסיות בהרמוניה מופלאה שאין דומה לה במזרח התיכון. מימינם בולט המגדלור הצבוע אדום ולבן ,אשר מזכיר למי ששכח שמדובר פה בנמל ⚓ אין דרך טובה מלסיים בשירו המהמם של יהודה פוליקר " איך קוראים לאהבה שלי" המתחיל במילים - " וזה עולם יפה ממש וזה מזרח תיכון חדש וזוהי יפו תל אביב ..." ניתן לראות גם ביקורות נוספות שלי באזור יפו המגדלור בית שמעון הבורסקאי נמל יפו פסל התפוז המרחף פסל הלוויתן של אילנה גור וסיפורו של יונה הנביא הכנסייה הארמנית סלע אנדרומדה מסגד הים סבייל אבו נבוט הסיפורים והאגדות המשולבים בביקור ביפו העתיקה וסביבתה, הם אלו שעושים את הביקור למעניין . אהבת ❤ שים 👍

The place where the apostle Saint Peter lived. He had a vision from heaven. Its description is given below. Peter began to explain everything to them in order. I was praying in the city of Joppa. Then I had a divine vision. I saw a vessel coming down from heaven like a great basket, holding it by its four corners. It came to me. A Cidade velha de Jaffa, localizada na extremidade sul de Tel Aviv, na costa mediterrânea era conhecida nos tempos antigos como o portão para a Terra de Israel. Com os seus três mil anos de história, Jaffa Antiga é o porto mais antigo do mundo. Diz-se que a cidade, chamada Iafo em hebraico, e Joppa no Novo Testamento, tem o seu nome derivado de Jafé, um dos três filhos de Noé, ou da palavra "iafa" em hebraico, que significa bonita. Jaffa é famosa por ser o lugar do qual Jonas navegou quando tentou fugir do chamado do Senhor, que lhe dizia para pregar o arrependimento aos habitantes de Nínive (Jonas, 1:3). Conforme a história nos conta, o barco de Jonas foi pego em uma tempestade e ele foi jogado ao mar. Ele foi engolido por um peixe gigante e ficou na sua barriga por três dias. Jaffa é onde São Pedro levantou Tabita dos mortos (Atos 9:36-43). Depois ele ficou na casa de Simão o Curtidor, perto do Centro de Visitantes. Foi no teto desta casa que Peter estava rezando um dia quando teve uma visão de uma toalha descendo do céu, cheia de animais impuros, e ele escutou uma voz comandando: "Vamos, Pedro, mata e come" (Ato 10:13). O comando para comer animais impuros era um sinal para Pedro batizar a Cornélio, um centurião romano e gentio, considerado impuro pelos judeus ortodoxos. Isto significava que os gentios, pela primeira vez, podiam receber o Espírito Santo e se juntar à igreja. A pintura principal na frente da igreja retrata a visão de São Pedro no telhado da casa de Simão, o Curador. Outros painéis mostram os episódios principais na vida de Pedro: a pesca milagrosa de peixes, o dar das chaves, a Transfiguração de Cristo e a lavagem dos pés na Última Ceia. O púlpito, esculpido na forma de uma árvore, também é especial. A Igreja de São Pedro continua a dar as boas vindas aos peregrinos, oferecendo missas em diversos idiomas tanto para as comunidades cristãs locais quanto aos visitantes do mundo todo.

St. Peter's Church is a beautiful Franciscan church, located in the center of the hill of ancient Jaffa. The church was originally built in 1654, but it was destroyed twice over the years, and the current structure was built between 1888 and 1894 and was renovated later on, in 1903. This church, named for Saint Peter's, was built here, because according to the New Testament, Saint Tabitha the Widow from Jaffa, was raised from the dead by the Apostle Peter in Jaffa. The church is open to the public every day. and the Masses are conducted in English, Spanish, Polish, and Hebrew. It is highly recommended to walk around here, and to see the beauty of this historical and remarkable area of old Jaffa!

Church is located in the historical part of Jaffa old city. You can go inside, there are masses in different languages. The surrounding area is quite interesting. Place is often crowded and packed with people, especially over the weekend. Pretty Catholic Church in old Yafo managed by the Franciscans. Located at the top of the hill and visible from most of Tel-Aviv coastline, it's accessible with a beautiful panoramic walking view of the Mediterranean sea. Has a great story of saint Peter it's nice to visit and spend some time there if you would like to learn about saint Peter story. Church from the 19th century in the heart of Jaffa.

Cei ce veneau odinioară pe calea mării, vedeau de departe Biserica Sfântul Petru care se înîlța pe o colină anunțând parcă faptul că ajugeau pe Pământul Sfânt. În vremea Imperiului Otoman este ridicată această biserică pe locul în care fusese o citadelă medievală din secolul XIII.Fața restaurată la începutul secolului Xxeste în stil neobaroc iezuit italian , construcția s-a făcut din fonduri spaniole. L'église franciscaine, construite en haut d'une colline, signalait aux pèlerins qui arrivaient autrefois par bateau qu'ils étaient arrivés en Terre Sainte .. C'est en 1654 qu'une église est construite à l'époque de l'Empire ottoman à l'emplacement de la citadelle médiévale bâtie par Frédéric de Hohenstaufen et restaurée par saint Louis au début du xiiie siècle. L'église est détruite et reconstruite deux fois au xviiie siècle et rebâtie entre 1888 et 1893. Elle est agrandie et restaurée en 1903, avec une façade néobaroque de style jésuite italien. Elle a été construite sur fonds espagnols.Vitraliile sunt foarte frumoase si contribuie din plin la senzația de măreție a locului.Les vitraux sont l'œuvre de Franz Xaver Zettler et fabriqués par son atelier munichois. Quatre grands vitraux représentent des épisodes de la vie de saint Pierre : la Pêche miraculeuse, la remise des clefs du Royaume de Dieu, la Transfiguration du Christ au mont Thabor, et le lavement des pieds à la Dernière Cène. D'autres vitraux représentent Tabitha, l'Immaculée conception, saint François d'Assise, et les autres surtout des saints espagnols.
