I sat down and plugged in my phone while waiting for my order, a 40 something waitress with glasses and tattoos on her arms came over, staring at me and yelling that I shouldn't plug it in without their permission. I travel a lot, Sardinians are generally good people but this is the first time in my life I hear a story like this 😂. ?! I never leave a bad rating, even when the food is terrible, I would just rather not go back than leave a bad rating. but respect should be a non-negotiable basis, avoid this place. a man who saw the scene and who seems used to this bar, paying the bill when leaving, that's the only nice thing I saw here. I ordered a classic croissant and received an almond croissant, I don't even care about that sort of thing, but at least try not to be rude to a client, or take a day off
EDIT :
response to the cowhide of 40 years: in 30 years of existence I have never seen a café where the customer has to ask to plug in their phone, I have only seen that at your place
I saw the other Google reviews and apparently I'm not the only one to notice your antipathy
the nice man had to pay because he saw how bitterly you treated me, when he saw you shouting that you had to ask to connect the telephone, and when you left we looked at each other and he shook his hand. head
you are just an unpleasant...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible service, the waiters do not know how to take orders and did not even give us a menu. We ordered our drinks and the waiter comes and gives us an extra coffee which NO ONE ordered. Before I could tell her we didn't order it, she left. When I went to pay I explained that we did not order the extra coffee and we did not drink it so I didn't want to pay for it. The cashier said ok and we left. Moments later the waitress chased after me and says we have to pay for the extra coffee because she put it on the table. Ridiculous that I had to pay for something I didn't order just because the waitress doesn't know how to take orders and she put it on the table so that means I have to pay for it. Don't go here, they just want to take money from tourists....
Read moreAwesome staff, there are more than 5/6 waitresses, who are very polite, smiling and friendly. They serve you very quickly, you do not need to wait a lot. We had our stops here every morning - they make great coffee and awesome sweet and salty fresh italian food. We used to have awesome foccacia with prossciutto, mayonaise, butter, tuna and vegetable, every morning and they also make tasty cakes if you like sweets. Prices are very reasonable. Also fried squid is good choice ;) I do recommend 5/5. If I ever get back to Alghero (which I do hope so) this will be my morning stop on my way to beach. Thank you Cafe&Cake Alghero staff for nice...
