Brescia is a small city in the Lombardy region of Italy, located about an hour drive from Milan. It is also very easily accessible by train from Lake Garda and Verona. Libraries that made me want to study there 😍😂✨📚 1️⃣ Biblioteca Queriniana, Brescia🇮🇹 = this library feels like walking into a museum. The walls and ceilings are lined with paintings and the main reading room is incredibly impressive. This is definitely a hidden gem in Italy and I highly recommend visiting. 2️⃣ State Victoria Library, Melbourne 🇦🇺 = this stunning library is made up of a big central hall and a dome above it. The library was established in 1854 as the Melbourne Public Library, making it Australia’s oldest public library and one of the first free libraries in the world. 3️⃣ El Ateneo Grand Splendid, Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 = this one is more of a bookstore, but it is definitely one of the most impressive ones in the world. Since its inception in 1919, it was originally a theatre, then a cinema, before it became a bookstore. I have never been to the libraries in South Korea or Porto but these are definitely the most impressive libraries I have evet visited.
