Blanc — Attraction in Castrignano del Capo

Having been turned away from another beach further up the harbour because it was exclusive to an hotel (even though half empty) we ended up here - and thank goodness.

It is essentially a series of suspended boardwalks over a rocky part of the harbour, which are covered in beach beds of various types and for which you pay varying amounts for.

We paid €40 for a front row double bed - which may sound pricey, but really not in the context of what you might pay for beach beds and umbrellas on the beaches in Puglia. And this has the added benefit of table service from a really professional bar - the staff were all super friendly. The beds have retractable covers overhead in case you want some shade and all have bedside tables for you drinks and snacks.

You can swim straight off the pontoons into completely clear water - so lovely!!

Without meaning to, we stayed all day and so needed somewhere to eat - and they have an evening restaurant - so we stayed for supper! We had a fantastic plate of lobster tagliatelle, really lovely! And a couple of different squid entrees for free!

Beautiful location and the girl at the front desk was super friendly. Unfortunately these are the only two good points.

Don’t bother going if you aren’t Italian - the service and overall experience will be very poor. Walked in to try to order drinks several times to be completely ignored in favour of other customers who arrived after.

They tried to give us a second row bed after we had reserved a front row because their friends were coming. Wouldn’t have minded except that you do pay extra for the privilege.

Food quality as in other reviews is poor (and sadly at the actual club too, not just the restaurant). 7 EUR salad of lettuce, carrot, and tomato was a joke. Everything served on plastic plates and cutlery, and not cleared away by the staff. Patrons also have to pay to use the beach showers?!

Had the potential to be so good, but very mismanaged. There are much better clubs to spend your time...

Siamo stati a cena ieri sera in questa location fronte mare che alla vista sembrava un bel posto dove cenare nonostante molti dei tavoli fossero vuoti. Appena seduti al tavolo sentivamo un forte odore di fogna provenire dalla pedana sotto i tavoli . Affaciandosi poteva vedere un rivolo di acqua biancastra che andava verso mare . Nonostante cio siamo rimasti a cenare . Il menu,scritto in italiano e in inglese, non aveva più di una decina di portate . Abbiamo chiesto un antipasto per 6 persone che nonostante le scarne porzioni era passabile. Purtroppo pero io e un altro comensale abbiamo avuto la sfortuna di richiedere il pescato del giorno . Il cameriere ci detto che era finito tutto il pesce e che erano disponibili sono del granchio e dell'astice . Prendiamo un pacchero con l astice . Il piatto di paccheri una volta arrivato al tavolo era privo dell'astice intero o della meta d astice abituale, bensi nel mio piatto vi erano due piccoli pezzetti qualche centimetro . Abbiamo chiesto spiegazione al cameriere che ci ha detto che loro la fanno cosi privo del guscio e delle chele . Un volta assaggiato il piatto risultava disgustevole e molto salato , sia io che l altro commensale abbiamo mandato immediatamente indietro i nostri piatti con l astice e cosi ha fatto un altra persona con un pacchero alla pescatrice. Non abbiamo mangiato altro. Il cameriere ci ha detto che non capivamo che il piatto secondo lui era semplicemente molto saporito. Nonostante avessimo contestato e non mangiato i piatti e chiesto spiegazioni allo chef, ci é pervenuto un conto di 60 euro a persona . I piatti mandati indietro regolarmente messi nel conto , nessuna scusa e nessuna spiegazione . É la prima volta che mi succede , sconsiglio vivamente questo posto come ristorante .
