Title: A Fascinating Journey Through History at the Spanish Quarter

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Spanish Quarter in Erice is an absolute treasure! This ancient fortress, built in the first half of the 17th century to house a garrison of Spanish soldiers, is steeped in history and charm. The robust construction and stunning architecture transport you back in time, and the valley views are simply breathtaking.

During my visit, I was delighted to explore the historical museum located within the fort, which showcases artifacts from the Spanish rule. The exhibitions are particularly impressive; I enjoyed the "Arts and Crafts of Yesteryear," where I could observe traditional tools from peasant life. Additionally, the multimedia exhibition "Erice, terra di mare" provided fascinating insights into Trapani's maritime activities.

This place is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and anyone looking to experience the rich cultural heritage of Erice. Highly...

Beautiful views from this amazing location. The building hosts small exhibitions of the traditional trades of the area (fishing, farming, textile and ceramic production etc.). Very interesting and exhaustive. The area could be kept better. There is the space for a nice bar but it looked like it was never used. Overall, definitely worth visitig. Remember to get a ticket that includes the visit.of this and other attractions in Erice.

Quartiere Spagnolo is a beautiful historic site in Erice with stunning views. The exhibition on traditional tuna fishing, with old photos and videos, is especially fascinating and gives a real sense of Sicilian heritage. A must-visit for anyone exploring the town.
