You are better off going hungry. 1 star is the lowest we could go. Pleae stay as far away from this spot as possible! I should have read the reviews prior. The staff did not acknowledge us and we had to flag them down. It took 20 mintues to get a menu and an additional 20 minutes to get a bottle of water for our group of 4. 15 minutes after that, the staff took our order. It took an hour and 10 minutes before dishes arrived. No one from the wait staff came to check on us or apologize for the delay. The restaurant had 2 other tables there-not particularly busy. After waiting that long, the pasta in the first dish was raw. Coming from an Italian background I understand al dente or even al muro, but the pasta was crunchy and it got stuck to our teeth. I went up to the waiter and advised that we were leaving. Almost 2 hours for horrible service and crunchy pasta and we had had enough. Interestingly, being that there were only 2 other tables there, the waiter made zero effort to try and make the situation better. We didn't mind paying the €3 for the water, although the right thing would have been to comp us. And I don't buy that Italians or other European countries have poor attitudes or give bad service. We have had excellent experiences elsewhere. If you are hungry and can't find a table at a restaurant or the line at a tavola calda is too long, have a Genovese at Pasticceria...
Read moreThis place offers you food for such expensive prices it's actually insane. Even in Palermo, at the MAIN STREET it's cheaper than here.
Another thing is that I understand we aren't locals but there is no need for the staff to be borderline rude and annoyed by us just because of our existence and being tourists. It's very unprofessional.
Can of Cola for 4€. Panini for 6€ would be quite understandable but it felt like supermarket food. Tomatoes, salad and mozzarella in bread. Nothing more, no sauce, no dressing, no nothing.
Overall, even one star rating is...
Read moreHardly any point in reviewing this place since you have no other choice in February. It is the only place open in Erice. But you might be better off going hungry. We tried several things over the two nights we were there. Worst pizza ever. Worst vitello marsala ever. Worst calzone ever. Wine and Prosecco just fine. Arancina spinache actually OK. Microwaved. Salad way too salty. I recommend just sticking with the wine (Nero D’Avola) and Prosecco and waiting to go to a different town to get food. The staff was more friendly the...
