KEY WEST — Attraction in Grado

To take a shower after a swim or wash away the sand from your feet you need to go through the crowded bar and pay extra coins. In the showers then you find no hangers to hold your towel or soap. You must leave them on the wet floor. Bad experience with the boss of the staff (bearded and tattooed) that collects money and assignes the beach umbrellas. We paid an umbrella with two beach loungers. But our German neighbor had planted two extra umbrellas of his own property and we didn't have space to move our loungers and enjoy the shadow we had paid for. We complained but the neighbor did nothing. So we asked for help to this boss of the staff: we thought he would talk to the neighbor and remove the extra umbrellas. But he answered in a RUDE way that he didn't "want to leave his chair", that he was "tired of this fuss at the end of the season", that we had to quarrel with the German neighbor by ourselves because he "didn't care". We asked to be given another place with umbrellas in the shadow and he replayed we had to leave his beach but we could have the money back! We will never go again to this beach and recommend to use the eastern beaches which have showers by the seashore and washbowls included in...

Eravamo già stati da loro l'anno scorso, scegliendo questo stabilimento per la posizione vicina all'hotel, e ci eravamo trovati molto bene. l personale è sempre stato gentile, disponibile e competente. Ci eravamo ripromessi che se fossimo tornati a Grado in questa zona, ci saremmo rivolti ancora a questo bagno e così abbiamo fatto. L'anno scorso l'unico aspetto che mi aveva creato qualche problema è stato l'ombrellone non inclinabile anche se ampio, per cui dopo una certa ora per stare all'ombra dovevo invadere lo spazio dell'ombrellone alla mia sinistra. Dovendo stare all'ombra per un problema dermatologico, ho spiegato la situazione ai ragazzi, che sono stati gentilissimi e ci hanno sempre assegnato un ombrellone con lo spazio libero alla mia sinistra, in modo tale che potessi inseguire l'ombra senza occupare lo spazio del vicino. Avevo già scritto una recensione positiva lo scorso anno, quest'anno posso dire che è andata ancora meglio, non abbiamo avuto il problema delle alghe (che comunque non dipendono dallo stabilimento ma dalle condizioni del mare e riguardano anche quelli vicini) ed abbiamo ritrovato la stessa cortesia e professionalità sia in spiaggia che al bar, attrezzature in ordine e perfettamente funzionanti e bagni puliti. Als suchten sie Jürgen Drews hängt hier ein toupiertes Klientel herum, die Schweisstränen abwechselnd mit der alternden Hand hinter den strohigen Haaren abwischend, oder kopfschüttelnd Tropfen auf den zu heißen Tischen verteilend. ,Schau ma Dörthe. Kannstene Suppe mache.' Nebenan bei Piper in der Strandbar ist das Publikum mondäner. Dafür kosten Spritz und Bier bei Key Wurst nen Euro weniger, daher die Mischpoke. Nichts gegen die Qualität, die ist gleich. Das Essen hier ist ungleich teurer, und erhebt keinen Qualitätsanspruch. Verwirrenderweise ist das Essen okay, zumindest die Calamari fritti. Lecker, heiß serviert, und zudem ohne Mehrkosten komische löffelgeschnittene Pommes dabei - das relativiert die Missachtung. Wobei nie einer gesagt hat, daß Prolls nicht mit spitzem Stift nicht rechnen können... Darauf trinke ich einen Spritz...bei Piper nebenan. Man gönnt sich ja...
