We wanted to go for a dinner, but it started raining in Grado, so basically every tourist took shelter in restaurants - some eating, some just standing under a roof.
We saw an empty table in this place - a rarity in the rainy weather -, and wanted to sit down to have a pasta or a pizza. The waitress told us that the table is reserved, even though there wasn't any sign of it - it was just an empty table. This was the "we're almost full, and we prefer a bigger group - even if the table is small for them, they'll be grateful that we let them in" look.
This wasn't the only restaurant which treated us like that in the evening, it looks like a common thing - when the rain comes, they know they're gonna be full, so they can choose their guests.
