Garden Pojega - Wine shop Guerrieri Rizzardi — Attraction in Negrar di Valpolicella

Spent a few hours here last weekend while we were in the Negrar area. We found it purely by coincidence on Google maps. What a pleasant experience!

The gardens were very pretty. The signage was very clear and the walking path was well laid out. I was surprised to see how well maintained the gardens were despite the heat.

The woman at the entrance office also provided us a very nice overview and tastings of the Guerrieri Rizzardi wines.

A pretty garden, off the beaten track. If you are keen to visit an Italian style garden in a very peaceful setting, then this small garden could well be worth a visit. The wine shop in the courtyard is tended by a very nice and knowledgeable lady. You can taste their wines, which, of course , you may purchase. They produce some very fine wines. Really beautiful villa surrounded by vineyards. Just north of Verona, this place has a wine shop to try wine and a villa for events. Wine tasting we did, highly recommend. Can buy bottle for relatively good prices. Friendly service. Dogs welcome. Open on weekends. Unfortunately the villa was closed for a private event. Will come back for sure....
