Just come back from a weeks stay here. It is a beautiful island not very touristy at all. The beaches are stunning with clear water brilliant for snorkelling. It is a little gem of a country, so much to explore. We hired a car and went round the north of the island where there are some stunning beaches. Just a couple of points, people don’t speak much English so it is worth learning a bit of Italian before you go. Our apparently universal travel plugs did not work over here so worth checking you have the correct plugs. Car parks are quite expensive by the beaches 2.50 euros an hour. There are very few sun beds on the beaches, most italians bring their own travel chairs. If you do find sunbeds they are 25 euros for 2 for the day. Food is fantastic, but not much meat on the menu. If you like fish and vegetables like I do you will...

This is the first Sardinian beach I saw and it was a nice encounter with the crystal clear water that is typical for Sardinia. The beach has a big opening to the sea and that is why the water could easily become too wavy. The beach is also a bit commercial, but it has two options, both renting a beach chair or putting your own towel on the sand. If you have many days on Costa Smeralda, I recommend visiting it and eating on one of its restaurants which have tasty food. The town/village of Pittulongu offers you the option to see at least 5 very beautiful beaches. If you don’t have so much time on Costa Smeralda, I recommend skipping it and focusing on other small beaches such as Pellicano which is nearby. The bus ASPO no. 4 connects all the beaches, but pay attention to the hours of the bus, because it passes rarely and only...

Wednesday the17th September. A little cloudy day but still good to go to explore this beautiful beach. Easy drive and plenty of parking on a sandy, somewhat rough terrain. But it is free and very close the enter the beach. You have to walk like 25 meters to get onto the beautiful stretch out calm waters. The water is so clear and like slowly descending so ideal for kids to. The swimming area is marked and close by there is a place for some cold and warm drinks. So now and than you see some planes passing through. Little bit further you see the big boats passing. When you leave you can trash your garbage in the several bins and...
