TR Tetto Rosso — Restaurant in Olbia

I don't know what was happening at the restaurant a year before this review (September 2018), but I want to thank Giovanna the manager of Il Tetto Rosso for her good service, friendliness, and going the extra mile for her customers. Where have you had your fish explained, cut and served for you by the manager, with generosity and professionalism? It's a beach restaurant, served by local people with local flavour, which is exactly what we wanted when we chose Sardinia and specifically Olbia. I had fun using my Italian, got my food 'al dente' and rather quickly, had a choice of firsts, seconds, desserts and drinks, and enjoyed a relaxing atmosphere together with other couples and families. During the day, you can rent in the surrounding beach a parasol with comfortable decks, affordable public services with shower, enjoy peace and quiet, and the greenest and warmest waters to splash until sunset, while ordering food and drinks from the bar. They are racists - !!

After ordered a take away pizza, I was drinking a coke outside. In a few minutes, a man started to yell, saying some English words. He was trying to say “You are only one so you can’t sit here. Move to another smaller table.” Are you kidding me? You were shouting like that only to say that?I felt as if I stole something big from their restaurant. I was the only customer at that time because it was not lunch or dinner time. Also, I was sitting there to wait for my pizza until it’s cooked.

Hey, you have to be gentle to foreigners if you want to make a profit. I don’t speak Italian very well but it doesn’t mean I’m deaf. Most foreigners visiting there must have a normal hearing ability, so don’t shout. I have a lot of Italian friends but have never seen anybody rude like you.

I have to say one of the rudest servers I have found in Sardinia. Such a bad attitude to customers. Do you realise you are in the hospitality business? My god you are a disgrace Looking through the reviews it is clear the only 4 and 5 stars are from Italian people. So it seems they don’t like to serve foreigners, then why set up a business on a beach. You are not a restaurant you are a hut on the beach

So another key piece of information about my visit to IL TETTO ROSSO. my car was broken into just outside the restaurant and all my baggage was taken. Really really think twice about going to this place.
