I would like to share an incident that happened yesterday evening which nearly caused me and my friends to miss our flight home.

We spent the day eating and chilling in Mamabeach whilst waiting for our flight scheduled late in the evening. We saw Mamabeach displaying a sign ‘taxi service’ at the entrance, so we went ahead to ask the guy in charge at the bar if we could pre-book a taxi to pick us at a specific time. He said to us, there is no need to pre-book a taxi because it normally takes 5 mins to get a taxi for a pick-up. We confirmed with him and he re-assured us it’s fine. So, we took his advice and went back to our table.

Later in the evening, 15 mins before the time we wanted to head to the airport, we went to the bar again to ask for the bar’s help to get a taxi. When the bar helped us to call for a taxi, we were informed there is no taxi available at this time and the wait is approximately 1.5 hours. We asked if there was an alternative and why did they not pre-book a taxi when we asked for one a few hours ago; the response was she wasn’t in charge at the bar before this timing and the guy who spoke to us has clocked out for the day.

We were left to sort ourselves without any help!

I think it is very unprofessional of the service attendant(s) for not trying to help us (stressful customers) who are about to miss an international flight home. Moreover, we do not speak Italian to help ourselves in getting a taxi. Your service attendants could at least try to help us get out of the situation instead of leaving us alone.

I see a trend in the google reviews, Mamabeach tends to ‘attack’ bad reviews. But before you do that, please also consider this - The fact that there is a sign ‘taxi service’ displaying in front of your restaurant but doesn’t seem to care enough to handle a request from your customers; it is better off you don’t offer the service!

Nevertheless, we were very lucky to meet an Italian couple at the carpark, they were happy to help by giving us a ride...

We were initially seated at the bar tables, and when I asked 30 minutes later when we could get a table to eat, 4 male employees started to sneer at me and made fun of me for no reason. As a woman, I have never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant.

To your answer: At least you now admit that we waited 30 minutes (which wasn't a problem by the way) but yesterday I was laughed at and made out to be a liar when I said that we had been waiting for 30 minutes. I also assume that you, the owner, made the stupid comment afterwards: We only have eyes for one woman here and pointed at one of the waitresses and laughed. And yes, there were four of you. You, the owner i guess, with three male employees right by the entrance area. My question is why a grown man has to make such unnecessary statements to a simple question like: How long do we have to wait for a table? And it would have been no problem to tell us that it was not possible to eat there because we didn't have a reservation. Even though the restaurant wasn't full at all.

And no thats not true, I orderd for me the salad with pommes and my friend orderd the vegan gnocchi. With that we had a few different drinks and left 55 Euros there, although you didn't even deserve that because of your behavior. And unfortunately, after this encounter, my appetite was no longer very big… and at the entrance you have a sign saying that the kitchen is open from 7pm. Then maybe that should...

Service déplorable! Pas un sourire' des serveuses qui parlent mal aux clients, désagréable! Le lieu est certe agréable mais ne justifie en aucun cas les prix! 15€pour 6 ravioles... De plus 'les serveuses ne nous ont pas indiqué le snack correctementet nous sommes retrouvés à payer pour quelque choses que nous ne voulions pas. Et meme à Mac donald on ne jete pas TIP a la gueule des clients! les serveuses de ce "bar" feraient mieux de changer de metier! Service du 6juillet vers 14h30

Deplorable service! Not a smile ' waitresses who speak poorly to clients, unpleasant! The place is nice but does justify any price! €15 for 6 ravioli... More ' waitresses don't have not told us the snack correctly ourselves to pay for some things that we didn't. Well this was my "welcoming card" in terms of first contact with a restaurant in Sardenha and i have to say that iam not giving less stars because i respect the works in the hospitality service and sometimes they are in a bad day, so here it goes.... We've rented 3 beach chairs and an umberella for 32€...the most expensive I've experienced in my 6 days trip to Sardenha... We had lunch at the place.... speaking to the employees was a nightmare.... sympathy was a mirage... food was without care and love and also ( check the pictures...) did they chew my fish?! food presentation was horrible, no respect whatsoever for the ingredients or the guests.... the prices...uau way too expensive for what i had.... Sad to see people in this field that don't care about how to serve people or to present food to the guests.... althought i have to say that my chew fish was good, but nothing that a 11 year old kid wouldn't do....and the pasta was served with frozen clams without shell... genius.... for about 14€.... never aggain... But very beautiful reataurant with a outside drinking lounge with shadows....a little advice, improve the costumer experience, sometimes it doesn't take a big effort.....

Well this was my "welcoming card" in terms of first contact with a restaurant in Sardenha and i have to say that iam not giving less stars because i respect the works in the hospitality service and sometimes they are in a bad day, so here it goes.... We've rented 3 beach chairs and an umberella for 32€...the most expensive I've experienced in my 6 days trip to Sardenha...
