Amazing beach and staff. It’s secluded, peaceful, and the men who run it are absolutely lovely. They saved my life (ok, slight exaggeration) by finding sun screen for me, left by a previous family.
A few pointers: 1. Call ahead and make a reservation. They’ll save your spot! 2. Do not forget to bring towels, sunscreen, bathing shoes (the gravel and paths get scorching HOT), any food/drinks. There’s a sweet little cafe for espresso drinks, cold drinks, gelato pops, and snacks but not what I’d call full lunch. 3. DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS DRIVING DIRECTIONS. They take you down pedestrian-only paths, which it causes all kinds of drama. If you’re not staying in Rapallo, park on the main street and walk. Ask for a chaise closet to the wall/shower, as you’ll be in the shade, away from the scorching sun, come afternoon time.
Generally, I’d say that this is definitely a locals’ spot, as in amazing for people staying in Rapallo. We’re staying in Camogli and, though we had the best day here, it was just too difficult to get to if you’re not coming on foot...
