Tucked away in the charming seaside town of Rapallo, Sapore di Mare is a culinary treasure that truly lives up to its name. With its welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and a menu that celebrates the best of seafood cuisine, this restaurant quickly became one of the highlights of my visit to the Ligurian coast. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the cozy yet elegant vibe. The interior is tastefully decorated with nautical touches that reflect the restaurant’s deep connection to the sea, and the soft lighting adds a warm, intimate feel – perfect for both relaxed lunches and romantic dinners. I was lucky to get a table with a view of the promenade, where you can enjoy the gentle sea breeze and take in the picturesque surroundings of Rapallo’s waterfront. Now let’s talk about the food – because that’s where Sapore di Mare truly shines. I ordered the paella, and it was absolutely outstanding. Generous in portion and rich in flavor, the dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh ingredients. The mix of seafood – mussels, prawns, clams, and calamari – was perfectly cooked, tender, and infused with the subtle saffron and spices of the rice. Every bite offered a delightful balance of textures and tastes, transporting me straight to the Mediterranean. What impressed me even more was the authenticity of the dish. It’s clear that the chefs here take great pride in their craft, and the paella wasn’t just thrown together – it was made with love and attention to detail. Paired with a crisp glass of white wine recommended by the staff, the whole meal felt like a celebration of the sea. The service was impeccable – friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The staff took time to explain the menu and made sure everything was to my liking without being intrusive. It’s that kind of thoughtful service that elevates a meal from good to unforgettable. After dinner, I couldn’t resist a dessert – the lemon sorbet served in a frozen lemon was refreshing, light, and the perfect way to end a rich meal. It left me feeling satisfied without being heavy. Overall, Sapore di Mare is the kind of restaurant that stays with you. It’s not just about eating – it’s about savoring, slowing down, and enjoying the flavors of the region in a setting that feels both special and comfortable. If you’re ever in Rapallo and love seafood, this is an absolute must-visit. And if the paella is on the menu when you go – trust me, don’t miss it.

Outstanding pizza & amazing service!” Sapora di Mare has quickly become my go-to spot for incredible pizza — fresh ingredients, perfectly crisp crust, and flavors that make you want to order another round. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service from Lola. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel like valued guests from the moment we walked in. Thank you, Lola, for making our night so special! Highly recommend this gem.

I travel for a living and constantly find the best food where ever I am, even when I find the best place I still try somewhere new if I’m there for a few days. I came here twice in 3 nights… Ali was my server both times and he is fantastic. Excellent place to eat. I had the ravioli both times which I also never do. Also the tiramisu the first night and affogato the second. All amazing. Sit outside, the people watching is great too.

We had two pastas here, meals were quite disappointing considering we have traveled around Italy we have had better authentic seafood pasta elsewhere in Italy. Got served bread and needed to ask for oil and balsamic which normally is just a given. Once we received our pasta we also had to ask for pepper.

Wouldn't rate the service and meals at all. Unfortunately was not a good experience. Waiter couldn't care less once we asked for the bill nor asked how it was, not very genuine. Tourist...
