Bau Bau Beach — Attraction in Santa Margherita Ligure

A fair walk outside of town to a rocky beach below the roadway. The canine loved it (excluding the 'scary' rippling waves!), despite the lack of sand. There's a picture of Pluto the Dog with a sign that said "Cani" & "Cancello", which made us a little concerned that dogs were no longer welcome (turns out "cancello" is Ital. for 'gate'. Ah.). The Bau Bau beach sign had fallen off and broken, and half of it was reattached crudely on the handrail halfway down (so totally useless - you have to have already committed to entering the beach without this info!). :) Very grateful that there is a dog-friendly beach access for SML / Portofino, though, so we'll gladly take what we can get! Pro: -Schöne Lage Duschen/fließend Wasser Treppe mit Gittern, damit die Hunde nicht abhauen können Restaurant direkt nebenan

Kontra: Sehr steinig bzw unbequem relativ klein zur Rushhour Steine brütend heiß für die Pfoten Die Leute passen nicht auf ihre Hunde auf!!! Lassen sie frei laufen und glotzen lieber aufs Handy. Unseren rechten Nachbarn wurde an die Babytasche gepinkelt und unseren linken Nachbarn wurde (während sie kurz im Wasser waren) die Sandwiches und Kekse aus der Tasche gefressen.
