Terrible hotel and I’d highly advise looking elsewhere if you are a person of colour looking to book. It gives the feel of a ‘Wild West’ early 1900’s racist movie. If that’s the theme they were going for, they have definitely succeeded.
If you’re here for the alleged 4 stars it’s a terribly ugly, run down and dated establishment, so please don’t be fooled by the Google Images.
Visited the restaurant with my family and was appalled by the rudeness of the staff. When we initially arrived and asked the reception staff for directions, we were shooed away and told to go outside before we had even expressed our intent to go to the restaurant. This hostile attitude was definitely attributable to racial discrimination as white customers were simultaneously being greeted warmly and directed to the restaurant. I find this to be of particular concern as I was visiting with my elderly parents and was not expecting such a hostile reception.
Particularly, the young woman with a short dark bob and the older man at the hotel’s reception were especially abrupt, and were the ones who tried to shoo us away upon first glance. Surely some degree of people skills is required for reception staff? But that doesn’t seem to be the case for Hotel Albergo.
For context I’m a London-based human rights barrister, frequenting 5-stars hotels in London or Paris, and only ended up at this unfortunate shoddy hell-hole as we were stranded and could not get a taxi in the area. As well-spoken white-collar workers we were shocked to be spoken down to by shallow staff working at a hotel in the middle of nowhere.
We were only there for the day, but to any fellow people of colour considering a stay there I do not believe you will be in safe hands and urge you to...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Lenno, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had, anywhere in the world. From the moment we walked in the door, my husband and I were blown away by the exceptional service and attention to detail that the staff took to make it a memorable stay.
The staff at Hotel Lenno were simply outstanding. From the friendly receptionist who checked us in, to the attentive waiters in the restaurant, every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. They were always on hand to offer recommendations, answer any questions, and make sure that we had everything we needed.
The view from our room was simply breathtaking. We had a stunning view of Lake Como from our balcony, and it was the perfect place to relax and take in the beautiful scenery.
The food at Hotel Lenno was absolutely amazing. We dined in the hotel's restaurant several times during our stay, and every meal was a true culinary experience. The menu was varied and creative, and the presentation of each dish was beautiful. We also enjoyed the hotel's daily breakfast buffet, which was plentiful and offered a great variety of options.
Overall, I cannot recommend Hotel Lenno highly enough. The exceptional service, stunning views, delicious food, and beautiful surroundings all contributed to an unforgettable stay. If you are looking for a hotel that offers the very best in luxury and hospitality, then Hotel Lenno is the perfect choice.

Read moreThe Hotel Lenno is in a fantastic location right on the waterfront. We arrived at night after driving from Austria through Switzerland and parked out the front and checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, we had booked parking but the hotel staff said we could leave it there and they wouldn't have to charge us parking in the hotel car park. There was a short wait whilst they sorted out our booking which appeared to be lost but they found all the details
The room we stayed in was 303 and had water views, the room and hotel are dated but are reasonably clean. The furniture is old and one of the cupboards could go as it makes the room cramped. Stains or marks were noticed on the bed spread.
The bathroom was old, the shower had a rubber mat in the bottom that had seen better days and I wore my thongs in there (first time I had to on our 4 1/2 week holiday). It does need a revamp as it was old and worn.
We headed out to dinner down the road and collected our passports at the desk on our way out (they need them for around 20 minutes when you check in).
Breakfast was nice the next morning, we sat overlooking the pool outside the breakfast room. The range wasn't huge but it was sufficient and the only eggs were boiled. The staff were friendly.
Checkout was easy and the staff again pleasant.
Room Tip: Ask for a waterview if possible and levels 2 or 3.
