Tuanku Syed Putra Bridge is located in Kuala Perlis, near the well known Kg. Warna Warni. Prior to the construction of the Tuanku Syed Putra Bridge, there was an old bridge that connected 2 villages across each other, alongside the Perlis River, namely Kg. Seberang Tok Pi and Kg. Seberang Ramai and the bridge was known as Titi Tinggi Lama, Kuala Perlis. In 2012, the bridge had to be closed due to safety factors. A new bridge was then constructed in 2013 and named Tuanku Syed Putra Bridge.
There is a platform at the top where visitors can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery by looking at the hills of Langkawi and also the Thai border. Apart from that, visitors can also witness a panoramic view of the river banks, lined with colourful fishing boats. Please take note that it can be very windy at the platform, so do take care of your hats, scarves, etc. Good experience to be here and...
Read moreI feel like this bridge has been built to serve the kampong folks and then marketed as a tourist attraction. For drivers, the best way yo get here is via the jetty. Do not get in by the kampung side because the roads are not designed for cars, too narrow. On the bridge, its a health hazard when wet. The metal flooring and steps are really slippery. I went when it was dry and yet, I couldn't feel sufficient grip. So beware! Other than that, it's a good viewpoint for photographers, so give it a go. I went after sundown and there's nothing to look at, just darkness from the village. Do visit if you are in Perlis, sunset views...
Read moreGreat place to hang out with family. If you want to take a look at the bridge only, its better to go to the Kastam's side since plenty of parking and shorter to reach the bridge. You dont need to g through Kampung Tengah (Kampung warna warni).
Bridge is quite steep, but no problem to reach the top since its not really long. Once you reach the top/middle of the bridge, you can have some views towards the sea, estuary, boats and the villages surrounding. Worth your time. Recommended to go to have a look.
If you like to see Kampung Warna Warni, you can have a walk the the village first before reaching the bridge if...
