Savana Hotel — Hotel in Perlis

Everything clean about this place, from bed to washroom. But we chucked the bed deco mat and two bed cushions on the floor. We fear it hasn't been washed for ages. The TV has plenty of channels to watch and visuals are all good. Everythings gòod overall. But frankly I wasn't too happy with the male staff. When I call the hotel about my reservation, the way he answered my call was as if we were pals since high school. It was rude, no greetings at all and not informative. When we arrived at the hotel, they were two staff, juking on a loud rap music. One of them just chilling with his legs on the cushion, like as if me and my wife doesn't exist. The other staff who just got to the counter to provide us the keys, they were no greetings at all. No professionalism; like "thank you". Once he hands the keys, that's it. "My job is done and imma listen Eminem song". The next day, the evening staff, who's tall and quite skinny, he was spliffing cigarette in front of the entrance, while talking to his friend. My wife can't stand cigarette and she was furious to even witnessed that it was the hotel staff.

Your staff needs to be educated. We don't need to be treated like a 5 star customer. But at least have some training and above all,...

The room was large, generally very clean and the air conditioning was good. Having the option of a fan instead of AC would have been nice. The windows are only single glazed so there is noise from outside and there is plenty of noise transmission across the corridor from other rooms. ||||The wifi performance was good (c.50mb/s). The build quality/finish was typically Malaysian with poor attention to detail. ||||What is really strange is that they offer no breakfast. It's our choice of hotel to stay in during our visits to Perlis. There's a European feel to it as you enter the lobby. Probably because of its little cafe immediately after entering the main door. Or probably the finishings and furnitures used.

The room sizes are as what you would expect for these kind of hotels. The finishings inside the room, are almost equivalent to what you can see in 4-star hotels. Comfortable and clean beds, pillows and linens.

Location - really good. Close to shops and restaurants. Only 5-mins drive to the jetty going to Langkawi.
