A vey large park not too far from Beppu station. This park is divided into different areas, such as ume garden, little bamboo forest, playing ground, sakura garden, cycling area, and many others. On spring, you can picnic while enjoying the beauty of plum and sakura flowers in this garden. This park is also the best place to take your children to play or walk your dogs. Many older kids (junior and senior high) also love playing soccer and other sports here. You can even walk around the park to burn your calory--there's a measure for this. There's also a large pond with many benches around it. Sometimes, you can watch someone playing his violin in this park.
