Ryokan Momiya — Hotel in Beppu

Oozing Good Energy! Getting cold which means it's time for Hot Springs ♨️. And what better a place to go than the Hot Springs capital of the world. Momiya being a glorious way to indulge. The best. Rooms ( I've had 3 different types) just incredible. Yesterday's room was a suite with two ensuite toilets. A meeting room/dining room and a coffee nook Four different window views with my own little garden to enjoy. Food was traditional and incomparable. Exquisite. When I remarked that "this is probably what the Imperial family ate every day", I was told "they don't eat as well as this" .The traditional hotel is covered in tradition and grace. Old but unmatched by modern plastic and stainless steel. (I've stayed at the only 5 star on the island-intercontinental)Nothing comes close. And the incredible hostess/ propiertor was raised here and recently hosted the most famous Japanese chess contest. Two bathing rooms (you alternate per day) . Prices are an eighth of intercontinental which is extremely inconveniently located. And it's ten minutes to the eating drinking district and the central station of Beppu.
