Michimichi no Yakara — Restaurant in Beppu

I came in the evening so there were unfortunately no set meals. During this time, similar to an izakaya, there is a seating charge which includes an otoshi. Not the biggest fan of that, but it wasnt very expensive and the otoshi actually tasted pretty good. I had toriten with rice seperately and the chicken was delicious. The quality of the meat and the batter was great and I really enjoyed it. I will definitely come back during lunch time to try their set meals.

Edit: Visited again during lunchtime and had the set meal. The toriten was delicious once again and the set meal was definitely worth it. I also got the lava cake which was a little expensive but also good. Will definitely...

Definitely a 5 star for this hidden gem. It located near Beppu park, the entrance is not very obvious. I saw some positive comments and decided to give it a try, I have to say it’s over my expectation.

There is English menu, the owner able to speak a bit of English. You can use google translate to photo translate the menu. In general, they off set meals, things like nanban chicken meal, fried pork, etc. And don’t forget there dessert behind the menu! Very amazing lava cake with ice cream. Highly...

《お客の順番抜かし&女性定員の態度の悪さ》

休日の開店時間を10分ほどすぎて、入店しました。満席で入れず、横の駐車場で待ってますのでと伝えると、「呼びに行くシステムしていないから、無理です」と言われました。 そのため、今のお客さんが出たらすぐ入ろうと思って、25分ほどお店の外で待っていました。 すると、たまたま入った新規のお客（私たちが待っていたと知らないお客）と退席されるお客のタイミングが重なり、あとに来た新規のお客が先に案内されました。 私もすぐに店内に入り、女性の定員に、そちらの案内したお客より、外でずっと前から待っていましたと伝えると、 「その時、店内に入られたお客さんを優先しているのと、2人で経営してるから、外の状況まで把握できないので案内できません」と言われ、更に待たないといけなくなりました。

結局入れたのは、私たちが来てから50分ほど経ちました。入っても、謝罪もなしで淡々とオーダーを聞かれました。 肝心な味ですが、口コミが高かったので期待していましたが、上記の件もあり、全然美味しくなかったです。

私達が待っていた時も、続々とお客が来てたので、多い場合はせめて待ち客の名前だけでも表に記入するなど、対策はした方が良いと思います。また駐車場もせっかく6台分（お店横、お店裏、日の丸薬局）あるなら、告知したほうがよいかと。お店利用で駐車場探してる車が立ち往生していたので。

とにかく、女性の定員の態度が悪いので...
