Enoshima is one of the best places to visit around Tokyo. It is an island connected just by a bridge with the mainland. The island offers a variety of attractions, including a shrine, park, observation tower and caves. Enoshima Shrine in the island dedicated to Benten, a popular goddess of good fortune, wealth, music and knowledge. The root of Benten is also connected to the Indian Hindu goddess Saraswathi. The visitors to Enoshima should consider purchasing the Enopass, a discounted combination ticket that includes admission to the island's main attractions (Samuel Cooking's garden, observation tower, caves) and use of the escalators to go to the top , altogether for 1000 yen. Very next to Enoshima, there are two popular beaches, the beaches are also popular surfing spots. The lighting of tower and fireworks display on every year end makes a different...

A must-see for any Tokyo trip. Traveling to Enoshima by train felt like going on a field trip, away from the bustling noise of the metropolis. The place is quite bustling in its own right given the influx of tourists, but the pace is much slower than in Tokyo, giving you more space for much-needed tranquility.

Upon stepping onto the island, you can purchase tickets for the escalator that will take you up to the three "levels" of the island until you reach the top, where the entrance to the Sea Candle is.

The temples blend perfectly with the natural features...

A very beautiful Shrine. You have to cross one of the famous bridge of Japan. It takes about 10min by walk to cross it. The Shrine is on the top of the mountain. So you have to climb to reach at the top. Takes about 15-25min by walk depending upon once health conditions. The shrine is not so huge but the beauty is worth to watch. You can roam around the Shrine and also walk further to go the tower section. There is also a beautiful pathway to the cliff beaches where you can enjoy the beauty of ocean. You have to be careful while walking those cliffs coz the cliffs are very sharp and easy to cut your skin if you fall down. And also you have to be careful about the food, means don't hold the food in your hand because the eagle continuously flies there and can stole your food. Highly...
