Visited Fukuoka Tower recently and was genuinely impressed! As Japan’s tallest seaside tower, it stands out with its striking mirrored exterior—fantastic for photos, and I’ve uploaded one to accompany this review. The journey up is smooth, and the lifts are quick and spacious, with lovely staff greeting everyone cheerfully. The views from the observation decks are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. You get a full 360-degree panorama of Fukuoka city, Hakata Bay, and mountains in the distance. Saw a magical seasonal light display as well—perfect extra touch! There’s a “Lover’s Sanctuary” up top with love locks and a fun photo spot if you’re feeling romantic. The ground-floor café served excellent coffee and local treats, and the gift shop offered a good range of souvenirs without being too pricey. I noticed access was excellent throughout—great for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Everything felt immaculately clean and well-organised. Transport links were great—a short stroll from the subway and plenty of signage in English. Overall, it’s a must-visit whether you’re a local or just passing through. Would absolutely recommend for families, couples or solo travellers—don’t forget your camera for those...

We went at night and arrived by 7pm. They had Halloween decorations already and it cost 800 yen to go up the tower. As the name implies, this is a tower so there really isn't anything between the main floor and the observation deck... just a glass elevator that goes up and down. There was a short wait to go up.
They have some stamp stations where you can collect 6 stamps on a souvenir card (one of the stamps seemed to be running out of ink). Nice views of the lights at night.
There are spots where you can line up for pics (one was decorated with Halloween decorations. There is also another spot that can light up with hearts (read the instructions on how to light them up and change colors).
Wish they had a train that goes directly here. But it was fairly easy...
