Central Snowsports Hakuba - Happo — Attraction in Hakuba

Positives: you can book and pay online in advance, get picked up from train station for fitting etc and then dropped at accommodation with gear. staff were friendly and helpful and keen to ensure boots and helmets fit correctly. they also pick up the gear from accommodation at the end of rental. but ultimately it is the quality of the gear that lets CS down. i paid for 'demo/premium' gear for the kids (2 snowboarders and 1 skier). acknowledging it is rental gear, the snowboards were in poor condition. see attached photos. it appears CS doesn't have enough stock to meet demand in peak periods. despite booking and paying in advance it seems you get what's left rather than what you paid for. perhaps my understanding of 'demo/premium' gear is wrong but the gear central snowsports provided is very different to my experience hiring from a competitor of theirs in Cooma NSW who also have store locations in Hakuba. overall the service was fine, its just the quality of the gear that let the rental down. we still had a lot of fun...

Central Snowsport Hakuba: Great Experience

I recently visited Central Snowsport Hakuba for a skiing trip and had a great experience overall. First and foremost, the location of Central Snowsport Hakuba is excellent. Situated in the heart of the Hakuba Valley, it offers easy access to various ski resorts, making it a convenient choice for winter sports enthusiasts. The level of customer service provided by some staff members. While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, there were a few who seemed disinterested and unfriendly, which detracted from the overall experience. (The only part that is need to improve)

Despite this setback, the equipment rental process was smooth and efficient. Central Snowsport Hakuba offers a good selection of well-maintained gear, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable skiing experience.

We decided to go with demo ski's (have our own boots) with Central Snowsports. Overall I have to say that it wasn't a very helpful experience. Turned up and they asked us what we wanted with no other info provided on what they had available. No questions asked on our level and experience other than the info we completed online. No info provided on the skis they suggested. Also I'm a shorty and they didn't seem to have much selection for sizing (only one pair in the size I wanted in that branch). My 13 yr old daughter was basically being offered the same ski's as myself which would not have been appropriate. Luckily one of the guys who I assume may have been the manager overheard our discussion and had to tell the guy serving us that they had demo ski's for kids available.
