I’m not sure I’ve ever posted a negative review in my life but am taking the time out of my vacation to hop on here and let you know how much of a disappointment this place was.

Burger came out and was enormous as everyone else has mentioned so I asked for a fork and knife simply so I could cut it in half and make it a bit easier to eat. The cook went on to explain that they actually don’t give out forks and knives unless you have a burger without a bun. I actually started to smirk because clearly he must have been joking, but then he said ā€œIt’s a burger..you eat it with your handsā€ in an absurdly arrogant tone before completely blowing me off and walking away.

Now maybe this cook was so pompous because the burgers he creates are truly so exceptional that even the mere mention of a utensil is insulting to his craft. Well, no. The burger is about 90% bun/lettuce and 10% actual meat. And that meat…oh boy. The only thing ā€œwell doneā€ in the restaurant this entire night was that patty that was closer in texture to a hi-chew than any other hamburger I’ve had in my life. I would be embarrassed to feed this concoction to my dog - and she routinely eats goose droppings. As for the ā€œcookā€, I wouldn’t trust him making me a quarter pounder with cheese from McDonalds, let alone a supposedly gourmet burger.

Next time a customer asks for something as simple as a fork, it would be super sick if you guys just gave them one. Other than asking for a glass of water, I’m not sure there’s a simpler request. Garbage restaurant with...

A cozy little burger spot in Hakuba - Happo with a charming cabin lodge feel. They even have a place outside to rest your skis and snowboards, which is a nice touch. The bathrooms are on the second floor to the right of the bar.

They offer a variety of burgers categorized by protein. I was torn between the lamb, venison, and pulled pork options, but unfortunately, they were out of venison. When I asked the waitress for a recommendation between the lamb and pulled pork, she suggested the pulled pork, so I went with that along with a side of potato wedges.

I will say their burgers are huge—larger than my hand. But with my pulled pork burger, the first few bites were just coleslaw, which was a little disappointing. The pulled pork itself didn’t stand out, maybe a 4/10. However, my friend got the lamb burger, and when I tried it, I thought it was much better—solid 8/10.

The potato wedges, though, were the real star. They were crispy, well-seasoned, and came with an aioli sauce that was absolutely bomb. More than enough to share, too. I personally think the wedges outshined the burgers.

Service did take a while for our burgers to come out, though. Maybe it was just peak lunch hours, but the wait felt longer than expected.

Overall, it was a decent experience, but the burgers didn’t quite live up to expectations. My friends and I agreed that the buns were larger than the patties, and the meat itself was just okay—nothing particularly juicy or...

Went for lunch with 3 people. Ordered & drinks & wedges arrived. We then waited an hour & asked if our food was coming to be told its coming & theres only 2 people in the kitchen so you need to wait. But other tables around us had come in after us, eaten & left so clearly they simply had just forgotten us. By the time our burgers came out we had finished drinks & wedges. Chicken burgers were good but the beef was terrible. So dry & grizzly. Small burger patty that had been cooked for what seemed like the entire hour we were waiting. It was disgusting. Not to mention majority of the burger was lettuce & salad. Worst meal ive had in japan & $24 aud for a cheeseburger is steep.

When we told them about the food they just responded with ā€˜sorry about that’ & walked off continuing with their day

Cleary dont care about their customers at all. Get the vibe that people working there are just there to make money on there working visas & go snowboarding. They couldnt care less about providing good service. $134 aud for 4 burgers. Chips & soft drinks is crazy expensive so such bad quality & service. When paying we expressed our concerns about how long it took & the quality of the food & was told ā€˜yeah well theres only 2 people in the kitchen so thats why’

Nothing taken off the bill or comped for over an hour wait. Not even a sincere apology. Truly disappointed. Cheers for the well below...

I had high expectations for this place based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. First, the portion sizes were misleading. The photos on Google made the burgers look large, but in reality, it was just oversized bread with an extremely thin, dry, and overcooked patty—similar to a McDonald's burger but worse. The inside was mostly filled with greens, and the amount of meat was shockingly low for the price. Despite being marketed as a high-quality burger, I’ve had much better ones in Turkey for a fraction of the price, with thick, juicy patties. The only unique aspect of this place seemed to be the use of different meat, which is why I opted for a venison burger. However, it was completely bland, dry, and disappointingly small in portion. On top of that, fries are not included and are ridiculously expensive. The service was also a letdown. The wait time to get inside was extremely long, and they have a strict "no bill splitting" policy. This meant that when we visited as a large group, we couldn’t sit together unless one person paid the entire bill, which was highly inconvenient. Additionally, the atmosphere was unpleasant—rowdy Australian tourists were shouting and drinking excessively, making it impossible to have a comfortable meal. The music was also unbearably loud. Honestly, even one star feels too generous. I would never return.
