If I could give this NEGATIVE 10 stars I would. DO NOT rent from this place, itās cheap but not worth it. The workers were rude and slow it took TWO hours for them to rent us boots, board, pants and a jacket and we were the only people in the store the whole time. It wasted half of our skiing day and when he asked us if we were going up the mountain today he went even slower talking to another worker about how drunk they were the night before. The ski jackets were absolutely revolting and STUNK like BO. To the point I had to ask for a different one, and my partner had to throw out his thermal after one day of skiing because it now stunk from the jacket. The worker stated āthey get washed but maybe there was a dirty bag mixed with the clean onesā. But I truely think they donāt wash any of them because there were four of us and they all stunk like they hadnāt been washed in years, so unhygienic. Thereās so much more I could say but I think you get the idea. Spend your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat customer service! However, you definitely get what you pay for, so pls be aware. We are 3 beginners who hired board+boots and jacket+pants. Our issues: 2x pants waterproofing wearing out around the bum area - beginners please be wary as there's a good chance you'll spend a few days falling on it. I can't recall if the fabric was worn out. 1x board binding broke - they were super helpful when we returned however, you'll lose half a day of snowboarding depending which resort you're at that day and having to return to the shop to get it fixed. 1x board screws came undone for binding - super dangerous as I was on the chairlift when this happened. I had a chance to learn to fix this which was nice. But if you don't know then you'll most likely lose half a day returning it minor issue, but the jacket sleeves velcro worn off so snow was getting in the inner layer sleeves
Note no pickup/drop...

Definitely one of the cheaper options for ski/ board hire in Hakuba. Iād recommend doing your research beforehand and think about paying a little bit extra for higher quality gear.
I ended up with boots that were not sealed properly and boarded with wet feet for our last 3 days. Two of my mates had dodgy bindings which could have ended badly when we were going at speed. Lucky the snow was good for most of our stay otherwise this would have been a pretty average experience.
Thereās a couple helpful blokes in the shop but the ones that dealt with us didnāt seem to want to give us the time of day. Definitely check out your options before making any decisions but if the snow is good youāll hopefully have a great time at...
