A very small building showcasing the local white snake (pit viper) adequately named Shiro hebi (lit: white snake). In the first room, there's a cool map of old Iwakuni and an animated video about the white snake in olden times. Good for kids. The 2nd room has a bunch of small activities like trying to get the plastic snake skeleton to digest a whole egg, a case of shed snake skin, and other videos. There's also 6 or so live snakes in a glass enclosure, very cute. That's pretty much all there is to see, as most of the text is in Japanese with no English translations so it's hard to linger around. There's a gift shop at the end with snake memorabilia too.
