This is a wonderful, quiet little cafe. We stopped in before heading on to the Kintai Castle and it was the perfect lunch to hold us over for the afternoon. The shrimp pilaf was fantastic (flavorful but mellow - no one ingredient overpowering the others) and my husband had the best curry I've tasted since being in Japan. I finished the meal with a white peach tart and left feeling very content. We will definitely be back.

Perfect service. We didn't realise we didn't have enough cash until after ordering. The closest ATM is back over the bridge on the other side of the river. The owner remade both our coffees for free (including mine even though I finished it), without us requesting. Because one of us had to go fetch cash from an ATM. I'm absolutely smitten. Thank you so so much! Sorry for not being more aware that we were out of cash.

Their menu is small, for lunch they have some coffees, teas, 3 lunch sets with salads, and a handful of desserts. The curry with rice was a nice quick snack. We also had a monte blanc with chestnut for dessert and it was delicious and sweet.
