I would agree with the review that said it's a great date location! There are plenty of fountains, pretty trees, ice cream and food vendors, and historical sites all packed into this one area. There is a big pool-like fountain in the middle where kids (and adults) are allowed to swim so if you're coming on a hot day, prepare a swimsuit or shorts so you can take a dip. The cherry blossoms in spring and golden ginkgos in fall are breathtaking, and the snack stalls near the entrance are perfect for a quick treat. It’s relaxing, historic, and photogenic—ideal for a half-day outing. Just bring water in summer and allow time for the castle ropeway too.
