京都保津川ラフティング【goodRAC adventure】Hozugawa Rafting — Attraction in Kameoka

Last Saturday, rafting down the Hozugawa River in Kameoka with a group of friends was an unforgettable experience. The tour began with a warm welcome from the guide and the owner who were not only professional but also incredibly friendly. The guide gave us a detailed safety briefing and made sure everyone felt confident and secure before we hit the water.

As we launched onto the river not only just rafting, we jumped off rocks and even swum in the calmer sections of the river. we were also seeing the traditional wooden Hozugawa-kudari sightseeing boats float past us, creating a beautiful contrast between old and new styles of enjoying the river. The Hozugawa River flows through a lush gorge, and the views during the quieter stretches were absolutely breathtaking.

The entire trip lasted about two hours, which felt just right. By the end, we were wet, smiling, and already talking about doing it again. There was even a hot shower and changing area provided at the base camp, which was a thoughtful touch. The helper also took good videos and photos for us. These guys are great! It was a little difficult to figure out the online form to sign up, but I was able to quickly sort things out by emailing them. They have great customer service.

We had a group of 13 people split between two boats, with a guide in each boat. The guides made sure we had fun and were safe! They had nice changing facilities and showers for men and women. Throughout our journey down the river we would stop to take pictures, play around in the water, and (optionally) jump off rocks.
