A really interesting, well laid out museum with a cafe and a fun activity.
We had a guide show us around the museum, and explain the various pieces to us. The guide was friendly and polite.
The doll painting experience was really fun, we all enjoyed this and you could order drinks whilst doing this. We were given a sample of the cascara tea, with an explanation of the benefits which was nice.

Read moreThe staff is nice and friendly, they have guided tours where you get to see fantastic collection of beautiful Japanese dolls and a good overview of the history. Fell in love with with a huge amazing collection of Matryoshka, especially 30 fairytales ones! Definitely go to this!
P.S. we visited right after the emergency status was lifted, so no tourists at all (we are living in Tokyo). We had a Japanese guided tour, but they also have English tours during the normal...
Read moreWe discovered this museum by chance as we had a stroll through the Nishi Chaya District. The dolls they have on display are nice to see. Especially if you look at all the details they put in to make them even few hundred years ago. They lady from the museum was especially nice, walking around with us to give explanations. We also took the doll to paint ourselves and got lost in time painting it in the museum....
