【周辺地域】 京急大師線が乗り入れる「川崎大師駅」は、その名の通り「川崎大師 平間寺（へいけんじ）」の近くにあります。毎年、初詣で多くの参拝客で賑わいます。交通安全祈願や厄除けとして有名です。 また夏になると、「若宮八幡宮夏祭り・神輿連合渡御」が行われるなど、とても活気に溢れます。 「川崎大師 平間寺（へいけんじ）」へと延びる表参道には多くの商店が軒を連ね、大師本殿の正面の仲見世通りでは、とんとこ飴やくず餅のお店などが軒を連ねてとても賑やかです。2016年には、さまぁ～ずの二人が出演している「モヤモヤさまぁ～ず2」でもこの場を訪れました。 「川崎大師 平間寺（へいけんじ）」から５分程度歩くと、市民の憩いの場でもある、大師公園があり、広い芝生や、庭園、鯉が泳いでいるところなど、緑豊かな自然に触れることができます。 まさに「歴史・文化・自然」が集まるエリアです。
