It consists of three areas: the main building, the vehicle exhibition area, and the mini railway park. The main building is the original Kyushu Railway headquarters, a red brick building built in 1891 (later used by the Railway Bureau, the Ministry of Railways, and the Japanese National Railways), and houses a display of Kyushu Railway passenger car No. 37, model trains (diorama: narration during the performance is by Kojima Kazuyoshi), headmarks, a driving simulator where you can experience driving between Mojiko and Orio, and a kids' room. Nine trains are preserved in the vehicle exhibition area.

Besides trains, it also has a collection of signs, uniform, tools, etc. it is highly recommended to pay a visit if you are fans or with family. You can spend at least half of a day there.
