I came all the way to Japan, planned the trip to go to Kitakyushu, purposely booked a day tour that make a stop here so I can visit this historic place and try the baked curry– all that to be turned down upon entry with no explanation???

The day I visited, the nice host lady greeted me and my friend, asked if we’re here for lunch or the tour. We wanted to eat lunch first (it was around 14.00) and go upstairs to tour the place and check the Einstein room. Suddenly came this younger male staff, rudely keep saying “no lunch no lunch” while crossing his arms and keep pointing the exit to us. The lady staff look confused as well because she was ready to show us to our table. About a minute later, came this group of influencers with loads of cameras, equipments and all. They were very loud and don’t even care that other people are still in the premises (there are 2-3 people inside the restaurant). They just roam around like they own the place, leaving their equipments around the premises too.

We understand that this group probably already booked and pay in advance for the event, but what about the other tourists like us that paid travel all the way here to visit, to be just rudely turned down WITH NO EXPLANATION? Will you compensate us for our time and the tour we paid? No right? I visited Japan so many times and this is my first time being so disappointed and feel disrespected in Japan.

Luckily there’s this small restaurant nearby called “Curry Honpo Mojiko Retro” with high ratings and we can still try the baked curry there. Although I’m still upset that I cannot tour the...

The Old Moji Mitsui Club is located on the right side of Mojiko Station across the street. Mojiko is lined with old-fashioned Western-style buildings centered around the first pier, and one of the closest ones to the station is the Old Moji Mitsui Club. It is even more famous because it is said that Einstein and his wife stayed here. The first floor is a restaurant, and the second floor exhibits 200 items related to Hayashi Fumiko, a writer...

Before coming here, I didn't have any idea that Albert Einstein has been to Japan. Although Mojiko is visited by many Korean people, there is no Korean translations for visitors in this buildings or others. I was lucky to read Japanese and English. But you shouldn't ignore people from other nationalities who often visit the area. You have to take off your shoes if you want to see the second floor. That's why it would be better...
