A Hotel chain that is really super in terms of pricing and services (free drinks, ice-cream, massage chairs, vending machines, ice machines, and Onsen). Room comes with 2 desserts and 2 free bottles of water upon check-in. A must-have experience is the Japanese breakfast at the hotel. Rich variety buffet comprising rice, noodles, cold dishes, meat, prawn fritters and chicken karaage, fruits, mini cakes, Nagano fresh milk, tea and coffee. Location is super! Some 7mins to the Train station via underground ( beside Tokyu’s main entrance). Hotel has a 7-Eleven right beside it, a Starbucks right across it and a Family Mart 100m away. Access to nearby attractions like Hakube via train or bus is also easy near the Nagano station. Onsen is super comprising 3 pools: 1 indoor, 1 outdoor hot pools and 1 cold pool indoor. Shower heads have massage jet functions for spent bodies due to travel. 😂

Dormy Inn hotels is always my go to choice because I always have a very good experience while I’m staying there. Dormy inn’s interior is always different from other hotels, it is a very modern design. Rooms and surroundings are extremely well kept and clean. Really love their in house onsen, you can get free ice cream after taking a bath. Staff are always friendly and professional. You receive a free pudding as a welcome gift. There is also free ramen for supper and coffee machine whenever you wish to get a drink. Laundry is also free but dryer cost 100 yen for 20 mins. Only downside is their breakfast spread is not that fantastic, other than that super awesome!

I stayed 4 nights while travelling around Nagano prefecture. Location is unbeatable. 3 min walk from Nagano Stn. Lots of food options and 7-11 just beside. Hotel is modern and nicely furnished. The bed and room is small for 2 people though. The hotel is located near big streets so it feels OK to walk back at night. Onsen was enjoyable - about 12 shower stalls and 3 onsen pools with 1 outdoor. Has moisturiser and face wash! Big and spacious. Used the onsen every night. Staff was helpful and attentive. There is free washing machine use with dryer for 100¥. Free coffee, water, ice, ramen at night and yakult drink.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short 10-minute walk from the JR station and Shinkansen. It's on a street that offers a variety of dining options, making it easy to find a place to eat. While the hotel features a spa, I didn't get a chance to use it because I was out for a late-night meal. The room is compact, as is common in Japan, but it's clean and includes basic toiletries. A highlight is the restaurant on the ground floor, which serves complimentary half-bowls of ramen from 9:30 PM to midnight. This ramen is a must-try, known for its popularity and authentic Nagano flavor.

This place is disgusting. It’s too bad because if it wasn’t for the cleanliness issue, this would be a top notch choice. The shower stall has literally not been cleaned for months. It takes at least several weeks for mildew to accumulate to the level I discovered in the shower doors/edges. I’d suggest you book at any of the other options. They don’t bother to clean the inside of the shower beyond what they can reach from the outside- so it makes you wonder what else they neglect at their facility.

Comfy inn with nice environment. You can use the hot spring, sauna and washing machine for free. Drying machine only costs 100 yen for 20 minutes. They also provides yummy ramen during the night time and free drinks for free. Security is good as you need your personal password to enter the hot spring area. You can read the comic books outdise the spa while waiting for the laundry or need a rest after the hot spring. Location is perfect as its very close to the train station.
