The one place to go for all your Okinawa duty free shopping at reasonable to cheap prices (especially with some of the specials they run). For food goods, it is probably the easiest place to aggregate 5000Y worth of foods as they carry all the tourist snacks as well as Okinawa salt, alcohol, candies, etc... Also has a section that sells cosmetics and souvenirs.

Duty free checkout is a little complicated. You basically check out at the normal registers and then with the receipt go to the back of the store where you have to get in line again to get money back. At the back of the store they will need your goods and passport where they will repack everything into these clear plastic bags with a seal on them to prevent tampering. Then they will return you passport with the tax money back.

Gripe about Japan Duty Free shopping. The worst offender is the sealed plastic bags that shouldn't/can't be opened before leaving the country. Did no one think that this would make tourist's packing life hell… It's a good thing they don't strictly enforce this at port of exit as not only would it take forever to exit but a lot of people would get caught up with "opened" packages. Next is the 5000Y minimum. Then you have the 5000Y food amount is different from the 5000Y cosmetics amount which is different from the 5000Y clothing amount. 5000Y isn't going to be the problem except for that barely any store carry everything in one place (present store excluded) making it either hard to get 5000Y in one category or only buying one particular type of thing at a store or simply just foregoing the tax free. Either way its quite a bad duty free shopping experience and needs changes.
