Enjoyed this. English tour (audio) is available. They also played a video (English) in a small auditorium to explain the company history and method of making soy sauce. Great store at the end where you can buy many types of soy sauce including one type sold to the emperor’s palace and other things I had never seen before like raw soy sauce, soy sauce flavored with Yuzu (i.e. lemon). If you enjoy soy sauce, then you would enjoy this tour/exhibit to see how it is made and the many ways it can be used. Audio guide is available in multiple languages and is easy to follow. At the end of the tour you are given a bottle of soy sauce and there is a gift shop with both practical and souvenir items. There is also a cafe offering fun items like soy sauce flavored soft serve ice cream, crackers that you toast yourself and a soy sauce taste test with tofu. It is a little off the beaten path so you have to make a trip specifically for it, but it is worth it if you...

I bought the most expensive soy sauce from the Imperial Household line of products just to try - I’m not a connoisseur so am a little embarrassed to say I can’t tell the difference. The packaging was...
