Mine Cart Madness — Attraction in Osaka

I recently visited Donkey Kong Country at Universal Studios Japan and was disappointed by several aspects of the experience.

The biggest issue was poor crowd control. Large bottlenecks formed around the entrance, and it was clear that there was little effort to manage the flow of guests. In contrast, I had a much more organized experience at Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, where staff controlled the entry by letting guests in small groups, helping to prevent congestion. It’s disappointing that similar measures weren’t applied here.

I also witnessed a family bring in a selfie stick—despite it being against park rules—and their child was tampering with a fire hydrant. I reported this to a staff member, but no action was taken, which raised concerns about safety enforcement.

To make matters worse, I waited over two hours in the single rider line, even though the posted wait time was much shorter. There were no updates or communication from staff during the delay.

I expected a much more professional and enjoyable experience. I hope Universal takes steps to improve crowd control and safety response at...

Really exciting ride, one of my personal favourites! The thrill level of the ride sits somewhere between Flight of the Hippogriff and Hollywood Dream. Most people can handle this, but it does have its share of steep drops and sharp turns. Recommended for kids 7 and above. The lines can be rather long. While they are indoors, do note that there is no air conditioning. This is one of the most popular rides, so prepare for lines 2-3 hours long. The ride itself is 2 minutes, so you decide whether it’s worth it or not. I recommend getting an Express pass for this. Even with an Express, you’ll still have to wait for about half an hour to get in. The ride has some cool effects, such as the rails “breaking” in the middle. 開園直後の入場: USJは公式の開園時間よりも早くゲートが開くことがあります。開園時間の1時間前から並ぶことで、入場後すぐに「ドンキーコングのクレイジー・トロッコ」へ向かい、待ち時間を短縮できる可能性があります。ただし、他のゲストも同様の行動を取ることが予想されるため、さらに早めの到着を検討すると良いでしょう。

シングルライダーの活用: 一人での乗車に抵抗がなければ、シングルライダーの列を利用することで、待ち時間を短縮できる場合があります。ただし、シングルライダーの列が設けられていないアトラクションもあるため、事前に確認が必要です。

混雑の少ない時期や時間帯の選択: 平日や閑散期（1月～2月上旬、4月中旬～下旬、5月のゴールデンウィーク明け～7月中旬、9月上旬、11月のハロウィン後）を狙って訪問することで、待ち時間を短縮できる可能性があります。また、午後5時以降や閉園間際は待ち時間が短くなる傾向がありますが、アトラクションの受付終了時間に注意が必要です。
