Hotel Kintetsu Universal City — Hotel in Osaka

Hotel Kintetsu Universal city is in Osaka. It takes about 2 minutes from JR universal city station by train.You can go this station about 40 minutes from Shin Osaka station.It is easy to go. I found this hotel on internet.This hotel has special rooms.It is Sesm Street’s floor. This floor is original design and some characters are so cute.Of coarse, each room has character. I stayed in Sesame Street exciting fun room. It was so nice, and characters like Elmo and Cookie Monster are so cute.I felt happy because they welcomed us. These characters are not only living room but also bathroom. I was so surprised to see it.In addition, it is close to Universal Studio Japan. You can buy USJ ticket in this hotel. But there are some smoking room.So if you want to reserve a nonsmoking room, please check carefully. Without it, you might be in the smoking room. That room smells bad.If you want to change non-smoking room, tell about it to staffs. They will change another room because they are so kind. But if the hotel is the crowd, you can’t change.So be careful!!||Also, meals are so delicious. You can eat in the hotel.It is a buffet. So you can eat what you want to. I recommend you to go for dinner because you can eat seasonal meals.For example, if you go there in October, you can eat Halloween’s meals. It has pumpkin cakes. It looks so cute and delicious. I went to there in January, so the meals were normal. They are so good, and I want to eat them but the cost is a little expensive. But around the hotel, there are a lot of restaurants. If you don’t book a hotel's restaurant, DON’T WORRY. You can eat many kinds of foods around it. You can eat ramen, udon, and hamburgers. Their cost is cheaper than the hotel’s one. I went to the cafe near this hotel in the morning. The breakfast was so delicious and it costs only 500 yen. Moreover, the facility’s atmosphere is so good. I took a lot of pictures of them But their business hours are so short that if you want to eat them, you have to go there as soon as you can. Otherwise, you will eat convenience store’s foods. ||I recommend families because this hotel is good for children. It has a restaurant and cute design rooms. Hotel is a great base for visiting USJ as the park is less than 5mins walk. It is on Universal walk so lots of restaurants and shops surrounding it. ||Accommodation is good but it is short of 2 stars on this occasion for us because despite booking 5 months ahead of a NON SMOKING character room, we checked in, in the evening to find we were given an old Character room which was a Smoking room on the smoking floor. We were only here for 1 night so check in was smooth and staff nice enough, they also had a card a small gift for my niece wishing her happy birthday. It was late and I didn't want to make a fuss and the windows could open and there was an air purifier in the room, so I thought I could bare it just till morning. However, it was cold so we had to close the window and then the smoking smell on everything became apparent. I tried to sleep but started experiencing a asthma attack coming on. (good thing I brought my meds). At this stage I knew we cannot stay in that room so I went downstairs and asked reception if we could change rooms. I explained to her that I specifically booked and even emailed to ensured room was non smoking. She checked her computer went somewhere to the back and then told me the non smoking room was all booked out. At this stage my lungs was tightening and I was willing to sleep anywhere but the smoking room or the smoking floor. So I asked her again (nicely) and explained that I didn't want to make a fuss but I was getting really ill. She can see that my asthma is no joke and I was already struggling to breathe and would rather camp at reception than go back to the dreaded smelly room. She checked her computer again and told me there is a room but not a character room and it is non smoking. We were promptly moved and she was very helpful and helped us move our things to the new room. ||The new room was wonderful, it was new and it smelt fresh. ||Was disappointed as I booked this hotel specifically for the sesame St character room for my niece's bday and got some old stinky smoking room. (Why would a family stay in a smoking character room that is a health hazard for kids I will never know!)||I did appreciate being able to move rooms although it took a lot of convincing.. if I wasn't coughing and dying at the reception desk, I'm sure they...
