There was a market fair selling vegetables and seafood held in September. All were being sold at a very cheap price, especially the fish and seafood which were fresh as well. Tons of people flocked into the place to get the best products in the best price.
There was also a tuna cutting show which you could see a very big blue-fin tuna placed on a stage and then a professional cutting man(?) performed the cutting in front of people. They also sold the freshly cut tuna but quite expensive. But tried the tuna rice bowl and it was impressively good and tasty!
Booths selling Hokkaido-made veg were also popular. You could even spend just hundreds yen to get as many carrots, potatoes and onions as you can into a plastic bag. But since too many people queued in the very early morning, didn’t manage to join. 😂😂
Apart from goods selling, you could also see some game booths for family with kids. Fun to watch.
It seems it takes place once every year so next time if you happen to travel in Sapporo at that period of time, do...
