Best sea urchin I have ever had! Fresh. There is a big difference between a few hours old and a few days. Fresh has a sweet and creamy flavor from start to finish. Days old has a ripe finish that stains your taste buds with a putrid smell. I always thought I didn't like it, but now I know, it has to be fresh!! The prices at this market seem expensive, but if you inquire they almost always cut you a deal.

Best place to buy fresh seafood especially king crab and Yubari melon. Price can be bargain. Polite seller but still have to beware of the item you brought are the same thing you get. I have brought 2 biggest size yubari melon but end up 1 big and 1 medium size. Seller will pack the melon inside their store so basicly I don't have the chance to confirm it. It end up just like that.

It’s a cute ally with many seafood shops some even have the tank for you to see it live! Locals shopkeepers are full of energy and smiles! Seafood are LIVE FRESH! And extremely good price!

Best place to buy fresh seafood especially king crab and Yubari melon. Price can be bargain. Polite seller but still have to beware of the item you brought are the same thing you get. I have brought 2 biggest size yubari melon but end up 1 big and 1 medium size. Seller will pack the melon inside their store so basicly I don't have the chance to confirm it. We had the choice of either going to this place or Nijo market. We decided to go to this place and we have to say it was a good choice.

There are more seafood stalls and there seems to be less people (compared to what people were saying on nijo). The price seems ok, didn't feel outrageously expensive. In fact, some of the snacks we bought was cheaper there, than central Sapporo.

I would not hesitate to recommend here as a seafood market place you should visit. (As...
