Hotel Sosei MGallery in Sapporo is a delightful surprise! From the outside, it appears unassuming, but stepping inside feels like unwrapping a gift and finding a treasure. The interior is breathtaking—warm, cozy, and reminiscent of a small castle's library. It's a place that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff service is exceptional. Everyone is friendly, speaks good English, and ensures the check-in process is smooth and pleasant. Their attention to detail truly stands out. We stayed in the executive suite for two nights, and it was amazing. The room was spacious, cozy, and perfectly designed for comfort. The bed and pillows were just the right firmness for a great night's sleep. The amenities were top-notch, from high-quality body wash and shampoo to a coffee machine stocked with complimentary capsules and tea bags. I also loved the thoughtful touch of power sockets on both sides of the bed. The hotel’s complimentary offerings were a highlight. From 3 pm to 5 pm, there’s an afternoon tea with free-flow coffee, tea, snacks, and sweet treats. Then, from 5 pm to 7 pm, it’s Happy Hour with unlimited drinks—beer, cocktails, and soft drinks—plus more snacks and finger foods. It was so enjoyable we hardly felt the need to leave the hotel! Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the 24-hour boutique gym, equipped with cardio machines and a complete set of dumbbells. While compact, it’s perfect for a quick workout to stay active during your travels. Breakfast was another highlight. The neatly presented dishes were incredibly appetizing, with a good variety to choose from. They even allow takeaway coffee and juice, which was such a thoughtful touch. The location is also very convenient. The hotel is situated right opposite a shopping mall, making it easy to enjoy some quick fashion shopping or grab a meal within just 5 minutes. Additionally, the JR station is only about 1 km (plus or minus) away, which is easily accessible with a short walk. However, there are areas that need improvement. If you’re carrying extra luggage and require a larger taxi, the hotel is unable to arrange one, as they only have contacts for smaller cabs. For a five-star luxury hotel, I believe they should be more resourceful in such situations. Additionally, they missed servicing our room, and when we requested a restock of our complimentary mini bar (an entitlement for Platinum Accor members), they were unable to fulfill it and provided numerous excuses. This lack of professionalism is disappointing. It’s a simple task of sending a staff member with the items—we weren’t even asking for the entire room to be cleaned and tidied. Overall, Hotel Sosei MGallery is a good choice. It met our expectations on every front. Recommended for a nice comfort stay.

Formerly known as Hotel Clubby, the 118 room Hotel Sosei was rebranded in January 2024 and is owned by the Sapporo Beer Company. LOCATION: A stone’s throw away from the bustling hub of Sapporo, it’s a relaxed, quieter part of the city. Just across the street is the Sapporo Factory (shopping mall), with the best of the city’s nightlife & restaurants and few blocks away. RECEPTION & BELL/VALET: Not surprising, everyone was utmost professional, humble and always greeted us. Taxi service is just an ask away. LOBBY: Warm & dark colors give a modern and welcoming feel. Registration is off to the right, including the bar. The fitness center, restaurant and outdoor courtyard are on the opposite side. Clever & striking beer bottle decor can be found in the lobby bar & restaurant. ROOM: Our 4th level room offered two queen sized beds, blackout curtains and a view of the mall across the way. Convenient room light control switches & plugs are on both sides of the beds. BATHROOM: A unique wet room includes the shower and tub in one enclosed space. Single basin, toilet with bidet and big bottles of bath amenities and products. AMENITIES: Included WiFi, bottled water, coffee/tea pot, hot water maker, mini fridge, safe, iron, yukatas & robes, laundry bags & service, air filtering machine. HOUSEKEEPING: Daily cleaning which is a rarity these days. LOBBY BAR: Cozy bar with a few bar stools, lounge chairs and fire pit. Freshly popped popcorn comes with your drink. They made me a very good screwdriver with soda! One night we enjoyed dinner here of a veggie plate, mac & cheese and beef stew. Service was always terrific. RESTAURANT: Daily breakfast was included. Grilled fish, green salad with a crack dressing (cobb), scrambled & fried eggs, omelettes, miso soup, mushroom & onion soup, cereal, yogurt, porridge, ham, sausage, fried chicken, tater tots, somen/soba salad, sautéed mushrooms, fruits, you name it! Excellent everything! They currently showcase a daily Hawaiian lunch buffet (added fee) with hula dancing and Hawaiian cuisine. Squid luau, chicken long rice, kalua pork & cabbage, fried rice, pan lau lau, haupia… OVERALL: Beautiful hotel, elevated professionalism, central location.

This is my first encounter with the brand Hotel Sosei to those all of the M Gallery line-up. I was not expecting too much to be honest. A few days before my arrival, they sent me emails regarding the room I booked. The staff promised me to keep me in the same upgraded room for the two consecutive days and briefly explained about the room amenities and facilities. I was not too excited at that time. On the day of the arrival, from the perspective of the exterior of the hotel, this hotel gives me an eclectic look. Thanks to Chat GPT, I learn that the hotel is located within the historical Sapporo Factory West Building, which was the site of Japan's first beer factory. It pays homage to Japanese traditions and the city's pioneering spirit, blending Western and Japanese elements in its design and decor. And once when I stepped into the building, I understand what the chat GPT told me about. FO staffs were so helpful, with a high skill of english speaking ability. The room was nice. It provides me with a comfortable bedding, above-the-average bathroom amenities, and all I need to pamper myself in my solo trip was provided in the room. The hotel provides also a good quality of afternoon tea for guests staying in the privilege floor or a platinum accor member. They provide a nice selection of wines, cocktails, spirits, to complementing the snacks. Breakfast was also sophisticated. you will not feel hungry after spending 1 hour in the breakfast time. With huge selection of food and also beverages, they pampered me with their blend of their combination of east and western food. They also have a tiny gym. this should be improve in the future with some weight-lifting machine. for a gym rat like me, of course their current facility is not enough for daily exercise. After all, this hotel is a good recommendation for those who seeks tranquility with a style. For sure, I will stay again in Hotel Sosei Sapporo for the next visit to Sapporo.

During my recent stay at this hotel, I had an exceptional experience thanks to the Platinum benefits. Remarkably, the room was ready by 11 AM, and they took special care to provide a room with a great view. However, the door to the room didn’t close automatically, so I had to make sure to close it properly. The meticulous service was evident as they perfectly accommodated my requests for a memory foam pillow and extra towels. It was a birthday trip, and the hotel went above and beyond by preparing a cute event, which made me feel truly special. The check-in staff were all friendly and welcoming, handling English requests efficiently. There was always a doorman at the entrance who greeted us warmly and helped call a taxi on the last day. The lounge atmosphere was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the unlimited Sapporo premium beer. The lounge staff kept an eye on our glasses and offered to take new orders as soon as they were almost empty. This attention to detail made the lounge experience even more special. However, the lack of a variety of finger foods was a bit disappointing. During my visit, only simple items like pizza and popcorn were available. The lounge was not very large, so I imagine there could be a waiting time during weekends. The breakfast options were limited, but considering it was complimentary, it was satisfactory.

This hotel was definitely 5-star hotel in Sapporo with excellent service, nice atmosphere and decoration, as well as acceptable location. I had been there for 5 days in December with my family with 2 kids. Its decoration and atmosphere were alsolutely amazing following its concept of MGallery. I did not know much about arts, but mood & tone of this hotel was quite relax and comfortable. The staffs here were excellent with service mind and helpfulness. Also, they always greet you both going out of the hotel or even when you come back here. We are really impressed. Its location might not be at its best, since it is located 1 km from the main train stations including Sapporo station and Oodori station. You might not be thinking 1 km distance could affect your travelling, but it affected during the winter with full of snow. One of the best thing here is the hotel is just opposited to the Sapporo Factory with full of restaurants, shopping, convenient store, and big supermarket. You can't find the place to be convenient like this. In summary, this hotel is highly recommended to stay in Sapporo. You will not be regret to choose this place for your stay!

Whatever interior designer worked on this building was a mastermind because the whole interior really is beautiful from the moment you walk in. The staff make the experience. They are so pleasant and work so hard to accommodate you. We came in the off-season during the week and felt like the only guests there for our whole experience, but by the time we were leaving it was the weekend and the building was clearly busier. The gym is small and equipped with two treadmills, a bike, an elliptical, and a weight bench with free weights. The one thing I will say is the rooms are very nice, but they are on the smaller side. We had two suitcases and it felt like they were taking up a lot of room space. I will also note that the air conditioner in our room was very weak and was definitely not conditioning to the 64 degree temperature we had it set to. It felt more like 75. However, we did not tell the staff about this so can’t really take off any points. I would definitely stay again provided that our AC thing was a fluke and the other rooms are colder.
