Where to eat in Sapporo, Hokkaido! And yes, this is where Sapporo beer is made. Loved finishing our Japan trip in this low key city and think it’s worth heading up north if you go to Japan. 🌟Hakodate Uni Murakami specializes in uni and we got a sick uni ikura donburi 🌟 Aji No Sanpei INVENTED MISO RAMEN! Isn’t that crazy and it’s on the 4th floor of a stationary store 🌟 Shihachi is inside the Tanuki COMICHI food hall which has tons of options. Not the best kaisendon but still good 🌟Tenhou at Ramen Alley - you can eat anywhere on ramen alley, there actually aren’t that many shops still open but it’s worth going 🌟Majisand is a super cute fruit sandwich shop and we tried this strawberry chocolate one 45 minute train ride to Otaru 🌟 Sankaku Market if you want seafood bowls 🌟 Kitaichi Hall is probably the busiest place in town and loved their Hokkaido milk tea floats 🌟Otarutakeno Sushi has massive kaisendon on the busy Main Street but pro move is to get the tuna 3 ways 🌟 Yakiniku Restaurant Totori aka Japanese barbecue always hit in Japan 🌟 Biergarten at Sapporo Beer Museum, definitely go to the museum if you’re in town • • • • #sistersnacking #sistersnackingjapan #japan #japantravel #japantrip #japanfood #ramenalley #ramen #sapporo #sapporofood #sapporobeer #hokkaido #hokkaidojapan #sapporohokkaido

Amazing! We took a special trip to Sapporo specifically to visit the beer factory. It did not disappoint. The gardens were a short cab ride (1,100Y) from Sapporo station. Upon arrival, we were directed to the museum. This was to select our restaurant as there are four available. We wanted the beer hall. Had to wait a short time, but allowed us to grab a souvenir T-shirt. The beer gardens were next to the museum. We walked over and were greeted on entry. The hall is large. Room for about 150 people. Two floors. The giant beer kettle watches over everyone. Shining gloriously in the room, it screams at you to have yet another mug of liquid heaven. Also, the only place you can get Sapporo Classic - original recipe Sapporo beer - is on the island of Hokkaido. Dinner prices range from 2,000Y - 7,500Y. That’s for all you can eat. The more you pay, the more variety in items. That price is for food only. If you want drinks, you pay 1,650Y per person. Note that all people at the table pay that price. Regardless of alcohol or nonalcoholic drinks. Ordering is done through a tablet at the table. Fairly easy to navigate. NOTE - dining is yakiniku style - you grill your own food in the beer hall. They give you a plastic bag for your purse/manbag. And a paper bib for your shirt. However, I highly recommend wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting soiled with grease. It’s everywhere in the hall. The floor can get slippery too. Overall, I had a fantastic time. I staggered out of the hall after having several mugs of delicious beer. I highly recommend visiting the Sapporo beer hall if you get the chance.

Decent. Best to make reservations. Very popular, busy restaurant. You will smell like smoke after, but they do provide paper bibs, hair covers, and bags for your belongings We ordered the middle tier all you can eat. You cook everything yourselves. The meal starts off with a couple plates of small appetizer dishes that is only given once. Then you order everything through an iPad. There really isn't a lot of choices. 6 kinds of meat and 4 kinds of vegetables. It gets repetitive quick. The quality of the meats is average. Not the worst and not great I feel like the grill is too small to put both vegetables and meat at the same time. Some vegetables take a while to cook so they take up a lot of space. Maybe that's how they limit you They have an all you can drink option which includes both alcohol and nonalcoholic beverages. We purchased beers separately. For a brewery, they don't make a wide variety of beer and there aren't any special release beers. Many size options and prices are fair Service was good. We were seated promptly. Servers changed our grills upon request very quickly. Orders came out quickly by both human and robots Overall, it's a nice experience and a great way to eat ghengis khan which is a Sapporo speciality and drink Sapporo Beer at the same time. Prices are fair for all you can eat. If you want quality though, I would go elsewhere

We arrived at 520pm with no reservation and was told it will take 90min so we went for it, 90 came and asked and informed 10 more minutes, came and still had to wait then 2hrs came and was told that we can go to another restaurant after 2 hrs wait so my wife informed them that they should have told us 2hrs ago that the restaurant won't be able to accommodate us so we were told that we have to wait more but after 5 mins we were told that seats is available, voila miracle, I guess the guy got scared when my wife raised her voice earlier. Now come the order part, since we got in close to 8, we were told we can only order until 840 cuz they closed at 9, which is fine since the selection was limited, didn't want to pay the 5k meal if I only have 40 mins to enjoy it so went with the 4k meal. Not familiar with the history of the restaurant if they are always this busy but I think they got more busier with all the YouTuber that is going around about the restaurant, that's how I knew about it but the meat are OK nothing to write home about. I had some genghis meat in a diff AYCE place and don't taste any different. I won't recommend this place if it is just for the meat unless you want to be part of the bloggers, I guess one time is fine just for blogging purposes. So for ratings: Wait is 0 star, make reservation Ambience is 0, if they are that busy don't they have money to buy more exhaust. Smoke is all over the restaurant. Food is a 3 star Service is 1 star. Came and took your order and came back to give you your bill. Overall impression, probably not coming back I will just try a different bbq place.
